what is the crap behind the net that they do constantly? do they actually work on this? this is an offensive system? I mean it is offensive, but I have to laugh every time they enter O-zone. they cycle behind the net and pass to no one or just lose.
torts just stands there as if his work this season is done.
He was so distraught after the game, sources say that he was seen leaving the arena screaming **** this I'm going back to MTL doing a jump heel kick in the air as he burned his jersey in the parking lot like Lebron James.
So, I was going to list the things that went wrong in my post game post. But, since everyone is in such low spirits, I'm instead going to focus on the good.
Good; We are still in playoff position, albeit 2 points ahead with 3 less games. Our board work tonight was stellar, and contributed to our strong edge in puck possession time. We held Minnesota to only 4 good scoring chances over the whole course of the game. And Avery broke out of his embarrassing goal slump. Also, McDonagh did not break his ankle.

How hard is it to be a mod and have to try to find the good in things?
More precisely, how long did it take you to come up with that post?

Why didn't he sell half of the team before trade deadline? Sather was hoping for a big turn around. He was hoping that they will start scoring goals and wining games again. It is not going to happen. He must fire Torterella now.

I agree!!! It wasn't always this way. Around 20 games ago, this behind the net crap started and it became our entire offense. What it results in is a lot of bad angle shots that have no chance at going in. Or, we eventually get caught with 3 men deep and it's an odd man rush up ice.
Just complete ****.
And perhaps someone else was right. We just have a team full of grinders. These guys can't pass well enough to actually create goals. Occasionally they can pull off a good pass, but certainly not often enough.

It's very, very hard.
I can't do it anymore, honestly.
It was actually the Jets losing the AFC Championship again that pushed me over the edge. I'm no longer content with "being on the right path," or whatever silly phrase we use to blunt the fact that we've been crap for the last decade. Just done with it.

Well at least you get that huge check at the end of every week
Outplay the opposing team, get more shots. But don't get quality shots and certainly don't finish on the few quality chances you have.
The mix of this team is ****ed up and I blame that on Sather and Torts. Not enough guys who can pass well enough. It's rather sickening.
I still think the trade of Rozy for Wolski was the undoing.
We have been rather atrocious since that trade. If I did the math correctly our record has been 8-14-1 since that day which would have made our record 25-15-3 before Jan 10 2011. Its hard to lay the blame on that trade, or losing Rozy or bringing in Wolski. This team was real good up til the end of December. Thats when the wheels seemingly fell off and if they don't find their bearings soon, its gonna officially be a streak of 2 years out of the playoffs
