You are my hero. We root for the same teams and I've already had it with all of them. If I've had to root for them as long as you've had to, I think I would have killed myself by now.

I feel like this shouldn't be a surprise anymore. We were a mediocre team before the deadline and slept on it, therefore we remain a mediocre team.

i mean i can understand young players struggling, making mistakes, but it looks as if the coaching staff is just throwing these guys on the ice and saying "have at it!" There's no offensive structure or sensibility whatsoever. The fact that that they can score 6g one night and not be able to buy a goal the next couple of games just prove that they are relying on chance and instinct.

I wish this season were over. this team is wasting me and draining my energy. This team just looks directionless right now and unless they bring in at least two more bonafide scoring talents, it's going to be the same crap for years to come. There is no scoring talent on this club outside of injured Gaborik.

For us to succeed the rest of the year, it's pretty clear he is going to have to make "holy ****" saves more regularly.
We're not going to succeed the rest of the year even if Hank does that because our offense has blown since the end of January. I don't want to see it blows, since the beginning of this season shows that it doesn't. But jesus christ if you want to compare this to football, you compare this years Rangers to the Giants, not the Jets. This has the potential, if the Debs make the playoffs, to be the worst collapse i've ever seen as a Ranger fan.

No more positivity here. I'm not positive about this team. I expect them to make the playoffs and if they don't, **** them for ******** the bed.

Haha, it's funny. My father roots for the Mets, Jets and Islanders. Sometimes I sit back and wonder how/why the guy is still a sports fan. I mean, at what point does it no longer become worth it?

After the whole Mets 7 up/17 to play collapse, I almost quit sports. But then you can't, because the highs are so good. I keep telling myself that eventually I'll see another championship, at it keeps me going. I was 4 when the Mets won and 12 when the Rangers won. Sucks.

On the bright side, we could end up with a top 5 draft pick at this rate....

The only teams I see finishing below us are- Ottawa, Isles, Florida, Colorado, Edmonton

The teams we are competing with are not as good as us. Torts just has no answers, this team can't score and its because no one goes to the net. Avery goes to the net and scores. This team has to keep it simple, stop with so many passes and start shooting low to the net and crash the net.

Lets hope Torts was right, no structural damage to McDonagh's knee and he is just day to day.

And tanking isn't worth it if the Devils make the playoffs.

I'll never live that down. Never.

That would be just our luck. End up picking 5th in a draft with 4 high-end players.

Remember when I said this team can't score and expects Lundqvist to let in 2 goals or less every single game to win? Yeah that's actually true... but he can only let in 1.75 GA/PG otherwise the Rangers will lose.

Seriously is there a goaltender facing that kind of a situation in the rest of the league? I don't think so and if you can't score -- then you sure as hell can't let the other team score (i.e: taking penalties, coasting back to backcheck, etc)

Lundqvist has put up with that for years now... could be wearing him out.

i'm not surprised but i am disgusted. it's going on 5 years of playoff uncertainty at this time of year and i'm sick of it. There is no "wait til next year either"! There is no top talent in our system coming to help anytime soon outside of maybe Krieder. so we'll just have to wait and hope that Richards lands in our laps in July? please what a joke of a franchise this is.

Sadly, I agree with you, we are playing that bad and if this keeps up we will lose the remaining games to the Isles, Devils, Sabres and other teams trying to catch us. If we don't win tomorrow, I can't see us winning a game for quite some time as we have a rough schedule coming up.

I keep saying it too. One day it's going to pay off. Doesn't seem like it's anytime soon though. That day it does happen though, I'm going off on everyone about anything that's ever happened.

One day though

I watched the Giants blow a 24 point lead this year and miss the playoffs at 10-6. Compared to that, this is child's play, folks and I refuse to let it rattle me

But I am no longer optimistic about the playoffs at this point.
