And I was right. Simmonds did only last 2 periods on the top line.

Look Phoenix dressed their enforcer and he did jack **** even with Westgarth sitting, take a note TM.

The 4th was flying out there tonight.

Lewis is a speed machine and Poni surprises me more and more with every big hit he makes.

Great to see Penner's net presence on the goal. Kudos to Lombardi picking him up, it's already paid dividends.

There was one time early in the game where Penner for some reason abruptly abandoned his spot on the cycle, and the pass came to his vacated spot and the offensive zone play ended. That's the only play where I thought unfamiliarity with his teammates played a negative role. More practice time with his new team will erase a minor issue like that.

He was clearly a heavy load to handle for the Coyotes tonight and it's just great the Kings have him now.

Awesome game for the most part, a few bad mistakes, but Berniers great play gave us the chance to win that we needed. Hopefully TM will ride the hot hand and not just go right back to Quick, its the kind of thing you need to do this time of year IMO.

These one goal games are going to raise my blood pressure.

9 of the last 12 have been 1 goal games.

Awards:
One bad thing noticed and a bunch of good things about Penner. I'll get the bad out of the way first.

- He and Kopi skate to the same spot when they are both without the puck at the same time 5 on 5 way too often. Of course, it will take time for him to adjust to our system and I'm not trying to be negative but this is what happens when you acquire really good players in the middle of the season. Hopefully he adjusts fast and I think he will.

+ Good hands

+ Threw the body

+ Skated to good positions

+ Did good things with the puck, but didn't have it all that much.

Penner-Kopi-Williams is probably the way forward. Could be really strong for us.

Bernier played great and should start Saturday.

If Coyotes would score on Berniers flubber then the tone on this board would be different.

I liked Berniers play so don't get it wrong but I LOVED what I saw from Penner.

I believe there are no more back-to-back games this season except for the very final 2 against the Ducks. Thus now is the perfect time to play "win and you're in" with the goaltenders.

It would be foolish to bet against Bernier being in net. Given Murray's play-till-you-lose history, especially after a shutout, he will definitely be going with Bernier.

Glad the Kings won but people that was as boring as Hockey gets. If we lose 1-0 people would be all over how dull a game it was. But we win we praise Bernier and Penner who really did nothing.

Great nail biter win. Williams has a good amount of jump on the 1st line and gives the team a more legitimate scoring threat.

I've liked Stoll's game all season....he's a great team player and has won some games for the team. Bernier made it look easy....Bernier needs to have a stickhandling practice session with Quick.

My life always feels better when the Kings win!

Must have been a helluva game to attend, wish I was there.

It was a great win, Bernier really showed what he is capable of as an NHL goaltender. That was great and he should start on Saturday just to see if we can ride a hot goalie for a few games.

I've always liked Bernier's style - well, since juniors anyhow. Great win tonight - you guys have someone to be proud of in net.
