Oh and to end, Doughty should have got 2 for diving and Burrows shouldn't have got a penalty.

What i dont get though is that the refs go, yes you got elbowed in the face, but you also dived, so even up the penalty count. Yet in the 2nd period, Brown nailed burrows in the shouler/chest, and Burrows went down clutching his face trying to get a call, yet he doesnt get embellishment on a play that was fair.

Can you only get diving penalties if there is a penalty the other way or something?

Doughty is just learning from the Canucks. Luongo, Burrows, Sedins, Kesler.

Canucks fans have no room to talk ****.

Terribly refereed for both sides. Alot of feeling stifled by stupid penalties really, but over-all pretty entertaining game.

Quick was amazing, but the Kings looked more worried about beating up on the Canucks players than scoring unless they were on the PP, so it's too bad about a wasted effort.

The kings are much too good to not make the playoffs though.

Edit: Can someone explain the cheating thing to me? Because...I don't see it. The Canucks (and Kings mind you) may have gotten away with penalties, but cheating? Come on.
I'm not of that group, but "cheating" was probably the wrong word. More so just getting call after call after call.

I still can't blame the games on the referees. Yeah, they missed a call or whatever, but the Kings HAD their chances. It's not like the refs gave them six power plays and we had one.

We had six chances to score a goal after our first one. We failed on every single one miserably.

Zeus had the same exact shot that Sedin had that won the game. He had an easy put in, but he whiffed on it.

Kings just need to focus harder. After the first few minutes of chippy play, it looked like some of our team was more interested in getting a big hit than actually playing the game.

refs were terrible plain and simple. 32 minutes of penalties. 2 clear missed ones.

It doesn't matter how hard you think doughty was pushed from behind. A penalty is a penalty and it simply wasn't called. Doughty has a right to be pissed... it cost us the game.

The Canucks were the better team and deserved the 2 points. All the comments to the contrary are just dust in the wind.

The Kings should make the playoffs, but making the playoffs and succeeding in the playoffs are two entirely different things. The Canucks and their fans are very, very aware of this fact.

Only thing the Canucks have won is the Sharks title of biggest playoff chokes.

They've no shot at the Cup and only they seem to not know it.

More blaming the refs? Come On guys, really?

Scoring 1 goal a game is not going to cut it. Penner looks good but this team still needs a pure goal-scorer

Actually this is a group of Canuck fans that has been organizing a US canuck trip every year for the past 5-6 seasons. They choose a city and go watch the Canucks play. These are mostly Vancouverites who have moved to the US.

You want to point to Doughty? The whole team + coaches was livid.
We weren't robbed. Yeah, their goal was debatable, but we had eight minutes to score another goal.

Scoring 1 goal in a game is not gonna get us many victories. Especially strong teams like Vancouver.

Again, if Doughty doesn't fall down on the elbow, it's probably a 2 man advantage. He had been yapping at the refs for six straight minutes before the whole thing, so they were 100% gonna call him on that play.

This is just like the Phoenix game where the high stick goal shouldn't have been called. We had our chances. We failed. We were not the better team today. We need to get better.

cant wait for the playoffs just to see the canucks choke again, just so half of their fanbase dissappears from existence until half way through the season next year

How many times does Hamhius have to turn his back or duck before he learns his lesson? serves him right. Learn to take a hit without turning your back and you won't get hurt.

Doesn't matter how many goal scorers Lombardi gets, Murray is still the coach. Kompon too.

Kings can take these guys in the playoffs, but unfortunately, they would have to end up 8th in the seedings to do it and I want to move up higher than that.

Whomever the ****ing Canucks get in the first round, that team will be second favorite team and the Red Wings opponent will be my third favorite team.

I don't really hate the Canucks. Some of their fans are over confident and annoying, but their team is fine. Both teams took liberties today at times, and they just had more chances, shots, and beat us in the faceoff zone.

Both goalies played a great game, and we had tons of chances to turn the tide before that second goal against us. If Zeus buries his easy put back, then we're up 2-1 and we don't know how the game goes.

All they can do is put this game behind them and worry about the Stars.

They are even joking about he winning goal on Sportsnet about Sedin pushing Doughty into Quick. They're calling it a "smart play". No wonder I absolutely ****ing detest the Canucks.

Actually, you should watch the replay again. He braced himself for the hit and then ended up taking a forearm to the head that drove him into the boards from Ponikarovsky. Dirty play - in no shape or form did Hamhuis contribute to the resulting hit or possibility of injury, he was braced for the hit perfectly.
