Someone said Kaleta looked banged up as well. We'll see someone, my guess being Byron or a healthy Ellis.

I think it will only be one one call up. By adding Boyes they already had a reserve body. Nieds came back in for Hecht, and now they'll bring someone to fill Grier's stone-filled shoes.

My guess is Byron or Adam to keep Boyes on the wing.

Yeah, Grier needs a rest badly -- him and Special Nieds are so slow.

I'm i alone or i'm the only one who wish to see what Parrish can do ??? I think we need experience players down the stretch and Parrish also can score.

i'd like to see mancari on this team. i believe he had the hardest slapshot in the skills competition. he gets a point a game in the A, i say give him a try for next year. it'd be interesting to see how he plays up in the bigs knowing his job is secure. ala neidermayer.

Not sure where his game is at the moment but you think they would have considered it.

From what I've seen I've never been a fan of Mancari. I'd prefer them to give Adam or Byron a go TBH.

I suppose Boyes is playing in the middle now too?

Mancari. Interesting. They keep rotating the callups.

Good call up on Mancari, he's played well in the ahl and really deserves one last shot with the organization to show up at the nhl level. Adam and Byron really didn't add much when they were up.

I know right? Why bring up the guy who is leading the team in scoring, can play the point on the PP, has size, and is an experienced professional hockey player when we can bring up the younger guys who aren't producing as well?

He's played 19 NHL games, how is that a large enough sample size to see what he can do?

I don't like the Mancari call up for the entire reason that he can't play center. Byron, Adam and Ellis (if he's healthy) all can.

They obviously liked Boyes at center and they needed a winger to replace Grier and that's why Mancari got the call.

Means nothing as does his size. He never plays a physical game. If he did, he'd be in NHL full-time. Ottawa has the same type of guy Corey Locke. Career AHLers who are stars at that level. Call it Jody Gage syndrome.

So 19 NHL games is enough of a sample size to make that judgement?

Corey Locke is 5'10'' 164, size whether you use it or not, makes a big difference

He's also had what four training camps to make the team or more? Didn't they waive him with the whole league having a shot. He's 25, there's not much more upside.
Given the crap on our fourth line (Grier an Nieds) is probably not much of a downgrade.
But the guy is missing something to stick in the NHL.

It's a monster chance for him. He just needs to play physical and no turnovers and Sabres would be happy.
Goals would be pure bonus.
He should watch some Kaleta film.

I would have liked to see Parrish or Stuart get rewarded instead after Mancari's recent comments about the organization.
