I still blame stevens. He is clearly still taking some players out for ice cream after bad efforts.

I hate this thread. Do you think it's just been three games?

There's a serious lack of Randy Jones in this thread.

This losing streak may actually be a good thing for this particular Flyers team....They need to go through a little adversity, and a gut check period before playoff time....Working through it will temper our club for the ups and downs of the playoffs. We just seem to be a better club when we got a little chip on our shoulder for some reason...

The last 13 games they are 7-5-1. That is by no means good, but it is not cause for concern. It isn't a difficult concept...teams get into slumps. It doesn't mean they are bad teams. It isn't telling of what they will play like in the playoffs (or even tomorrow). It is a slump. They are the same team they were a few weeks ago when they were on a tear. They caught a rough patch with injuries and poor play. This happens every year to every team. If they play like this the rest of the season, ok now let's start to get worried. But a 7-5-1 stretch does not mean its time to hit the panic button. They're still poised for home ice and a run at the President's Trophy. Things will be ok.

Carle. Clearly he is more concerned with raising money for sick kids than scoring goals. Priorities are way out of whack.

Just cause they win games doesnt mean they played good. Its not just black and white.

Either they're pacing themselves, or they're running out of gas. It's naive to think though just because they're tops in the conference means they're poised for another Cup run, this team more than any other knows how that works.

Personally, I think a shake-up was in order at the trade deadline, it actually was a good time to make a trade just to make a trade. The room can get stale, especially when no one is concerned about their job.
Agreed. I think they needed a gritty veteran to take Zherdev's spot on the the roster for the cup run....Oh well.

I didn't say they played well. I know they haven't been playing well. What I am saying is that teams get into funks like this ALL THE TIME. Even the best teams in history have had bad stretches of play. This is probably the worst play that I've seen all season from this team and it isn't all that bad. It's not like watching the game was like watching a high school team or anything like that. They just aren't playing a full 60 minutes over the last few games. It happens every year to every team.

See that wink? Obviously Bob is a Russian spy, trying to take down the Flyers as an act of revenge stemming from the Red Army game.

If they go 16-12 in the playoffs, are you going to give a **** if they were the ugliest 16 wins ever?

If it's not broke, don't fix it. We were tops in the East without him, and each game he scores in, we lose.

I'm not sure that enough blame has gone Boynton's way. If anyone's been keeping score, I have decided that everything will be his fault. He was Chicago's scapegoat, so he has plenty of experience.

Well, regardless of who is at fault, we better figure it out quickly so we can harass that individual. If we can't figure out who the real scapegoat is, then we need to make one up. As Philly fans, we must be able to blame someone, even if there isn't a true culprit.

It's all Bob's fault. The ghost of Lindbergh is haunting him.
