Coburn or Carle to STL

Just putting out a feeler here, but would a trade of either of them to STL make sense for PHI? If so, then what would it take?

Don't know what you would be willing to give up but I'd ask for Sonne/Cole and a second (first for Coburn).

Philly isn't interested in moving either of them. We don't need cap space. Pronger and Timmonen are getting old. Why would they trade Coburn or Carle?

If you want one, you'll have to overpay.

Doesn't Pronger still have around 6 years left on his deal?? Worried about him getting old already?? Not making fun, asking for real.

Our 1st will likely be top 10 so thats out. How about Sonne + 2nd + 3rd for Coburn?

Not at all.

If there's no first coming back, you better ship 2 seconds and a third our way, plus Sonne.

Yeah, that's a bit steep for one year of a good second pairing defenseman.

Sonne and a 3rd or 2nd.

Flyers have a few guys that are coming up.

Carle is a little expensive. Bad defensively. Brings a lot offensively.

I think Coburn might be the better fit, but probably the one you would have to convince the GM to consider moving, then find out just how far off you were with your offer.

Are you guys still looking for a PPQB? Carle fits that mold far far better than Cobrun does.

I think a first is a bit steep, considering it will likely be top ten, but a good prospect and a second seems fair.

No we have Pietrangelo and Shattenkirk for the PP. We need a LH defenseman, I'd prefer Coburn because he is better defensively and pair him with Shattenkirk next season.

I don't know what that would cost you. Maybe your first.

Coburn is one of the better d-men on the Flyers. Still young. Not super expensive yet.

We counter with, thanks for your opinion and we will be taking our negotiations elsewhere.

I wouldn't trade a high first for him, but I don't think "late first" value is an unreasonable value request.

The second + above-average-but-not-top-tier-prospect value that many people have mentioned ballparks in the same general area, and I think that's a reasonable price should Philly decide they are interested in moving him.

No way he is worth a top ten 1st round pick. He's a decent defenseman but we could get a better return elsewhere.

You won't get any bargains for Coburn. The Flyers have no reason to deal him unless St. Louis sweetens the pot.

The Leafs might be willing to get Carle over Coburn and may pay better than St Louis for Coburn.
