I don't think its illegal, as I know Sportsnet change the collar and colours of the headshot of a player if he is traded to another team. The head is the same, but the uniform colours near the bottom reflect the new team.
TSN did the same thing with a Hull photo when he signed with the Coyotes. And didn't make mention that it was 'shopped. Seemed silly to think he'd be skating around in a full Coyotes uniform in an arena (that surely didn't have ice at the time) the day he signed with them. Was able to find the original photo in which, of course, he was wearing a Wing uniform.
Was just listening to Dan Russell (radio talk show host out of Vancouver) and he had some guy from the SEL or Swedish media or something on and he was talking about the Naslund/Forsberg thing. Thought Leafs fans might have been interested in knowing that the buzz out of Sweden is that Naslund is intent on resigning with Vancouver and Forsberg is seriously considering playing with Sundin in Toronto. Take it with a grain of salt since the guys english wasn't spectacular and I'm not sure of his exact position. The radio show is fairly run of the mill though, and isn't too prone to running ridiculous stuff (ie/ Eklund rumours or anything).
