Also it will be interesting to see how CB performs again this year and if he keeps the third spot instead of Lackey.

It just wouldn't be Spring Training without Josh Beckett either being injured or fat, would it?

Concussion like symptoms for Beckett:/ Hope it's nothing serious.
Diasuke seemed to pitch well today and looks like Oki wasn't so good and they could demote him.

Yanks had a decent starting lineup too. Decent pitching. Pena Jr. tried to hand the game over.

I know it's spring training and that we only had a few regulars, but how in gods name did Colon own us tonight? What the ****.

Of the players on the 25 man roster we started 3 all of which are backups. Varitek, Lowrie, and McDonald. That being said if you watched the game Colon had some decent stuff and was sitting in the 92-93 range which he never was when pitching for us.

Personally he needs another year at AA/AAA IMO, and it's not just because we have Scutaro/Lowrie. But man he looks like he's going to be special.

I know, I know...it's only spring training.
But, please tell me Dicek is a free agent after this year? I can't take much more of him. Seeing him and Drew gone will feel great as a fan.

I think he is.
Even though its only spring training nothing like watching a game and listening to Don and Jerry

I believe he will be dealt during the season for a starter. Weren't there strong rumors of the Dodgers being interested?

The problem is that he makes 6 million a season, which for a 5th starter on the Sox is acceptable, However most teams that would take a flyer on a 6 million dollar pitcher aren't signing up for a 5th starter.
We'll see.
