Crombeen to Hensick should save us a grand or two, right?

No, this move will cost them more money actually. Injured players are still paid and now the Blues have to pay Hensick his NHL salary instead of his AHL salary.

Another reason for a lot of the money issues this year is likely due to all of the injuries. They had to keep paying the injured players while also paying all of the AHL call-ups more while they were in the NHL.

No! This is a move to help assure a better draft choice. Crombeen's defence on even-strength and PK will be missed, and Hensick's defence is non-existent. He doesn't add much (if any) offence on The NHL-level, so look for more assured losses. I have no problem with this at this point in a lost season. We need to get the 5th choice to have any shot at the 1st, and a reasonable shot at #3 (one of "The Big 3"). If we could get Cortourier because we fall to the 5th and move up 2 spots, I'd love it.
