College free agent Zolnierczyk to Flyers

Learn how to spell his name, Flyers fans, you are gonna love this kid!

http://sportsblog.projo.com/2011/03/...olnierc-1.html

Quote:
Brown senior captain Harry Zolnierczyk agreed to a one-year contract with the Philadelphia Flyers on Monday.

Zolnierczyk, who put up 16-15-31 scoring totals with 126 penalty minutes in 29 games this season, will report to Adirondack of the American Hockey League this week. At the end of the AHL season, Zolnierczyk will join the Flyers for the playoffs, according to Peter Donatelli, his agent.

Zolnierczyk received offers from a dozen teams, Donatelli said.

Considering our dearth of draft picks, this isn't a bad thing. Hopefully he will pan out.

He was kicked off my hometown team for being part of a sextape made with a local girl that was posted on the internet.

Dear Paul Holmgren, stop signing people with names that I can't pronounce or spell.

I heard about this awhile ago and as soon as I saw his name, I was like wait, is that that kid? And I was right. There was a thread about him somewhere a few months ago, I'll try to find it.

Instantly jumped to #1 position on my Flyers'-prospect-list.

Then the reality hit me hard:

Watch EVERYONE in slow motion + Zolnierczyk. It's crazy.

He can definitely skate, that's for sure.

Considering his past incidents, he's a perfect fit on the Flyers

in all seriousness, he looks good...and fun. Looking forward to seeing what he can do.

He noted that Harding, a utility winger, and Zolnierczyk received vastly different treatment by the former ownership group.

"Harding was suspended from the team, while he [Zolnierczyk] went on to be named most valuable player," Baines said. "He sat in silence, while his friend was kicked off the team."
Not so great.
