Not happy about the Vancouver game and this one.

Kings need to show up for these games, defensemen just suck. Nobody protecting the goalie/crease, and giving pucks away for the other team.

The loss falls to Doughty. He can't let that play happen. Especially twice in one season with the same player... That and an impotent powerplay.

No longer perfect when leading after two. Pretty brutal that 2-1 Kings becomes 4-3 stars in 24 minutes time.

That loss is on Doughty and his STUPID play to give up the shorty. Thanks Drew.

I hate the Stars.

Bernier sucked tonight. Benn's goal and likely Morrow's would have been saved by Quick.

Well, on to the next one.

At least we had a good period.
Not just you. I don't think it's a systematic issue but it's getting a little concerning the way this team wilts when the momentum goes against them and there's nobody on the bench who can rally the troops. That goes for both players and coaches, though.

Kings PP:

MURRAY: “There’s a few things that you need to change. it doesn’t come down to structure and system though. I like the way we bring the puck up the ice, and our regroups in the neutral zone. We do get into the offensive zone and get set up, when there is that intense effort to get open for the man who has the puck. That’s critical. It’s not the man that has the puck. It’s the people away from it that need to really dig in and quickly get available. But for us, right now, what I see (lacking) is just that net presence. To have a shooting power play, that’s the part of the game that really has to get established early in the offensive zone setup, and stay there. If you get away from it, as that person who is in front of the net, thinking maybe, `OK, I’ve got to support, I’ve got to give an option to the player with possession,’ now it’s too late, sometimes, to get back to that net whenever the shot opportunity is there. So we’d like to have a fixture, in that person. So you can change it. It has been addressed many times. It just has to become a more instinctive part of our power play.”

We gave the game away 3 times

Games like these are what you look back to at the end of the season when your not in the playoffs.

Jack Johnson and Drew Doughty both need heat checks..

..and just becuase you cant fault Bernier on any of the goals doesnt mean the guy cant come up with a big save when needed... Now sit on the bench and let Quick do his job.

Yes, but then the win wouldn't count in the tiebreaker. Kings are screwed with seven SO wins.

Must be nice to have a second line center capable of making plays like that. That is what I mean when I say Stoll isn't a 2nd line center. Just no creativty.

Once again our PP costs us points. And please spare the BS about it being hard to change the system. The PP is god awful yet they stubbornly refuse to change the system. They continue the low to high crap, the continue to send Glass Jarret out there, they continue to have Williams and Johnson on the bench.

And to think people used to complain about Van Boxmeer. Kompon makes Van Boxmeer look like Toe Blake.

Gotta keep the players accountable but these PP's are just not cutting the mustard. You got to start holding the people responsible for organizing the system of the powerplay and that clearly involves the coaches.

Jamie Kompon is a joke and should be fired on the spot. To stick with the same cancerous PP despite how astoundingly awful it is blows my mind.

You have to be joking... Benn scored that exact same goal on Quick earlier in the season and Morrow's goal was a gifted to him in the slot on the quickest shot of the night. No way was Bernier to blame for this loss tonight.

Confidence

Swagger

Passion

Power

Pride

Playing up to your capabilities

Knowing your better then your opponents and then showing them why.

We had one period of this and then we go into the locker room and come out and slowly play like we have no idea what any of those things mean.

We have the horses

We need the rider.

Eh, lets not overreact, playoffs are still very much a possibility. Especially if we win the next two. Gonna be tight until the end. Bad play by doughty, though.

These two are sucking at the power play. Very hesitant and cannot hold onto the damn ouck.

Meh the Kings aren't winning the cup with Murray, at least if we miss the playoffs he's gone right? RIGHT? RIGHT?

I said before the Vancouver game that Bernier should have started that one and Quick should have played in the 4-pt game tonight. No s***.

The funny thing is I seriously doubt Murray would even get fired if we missed the playoffs.
