Love the hype. Habs vs Bruins adrenaline is the very best kind of adrenaline.
I absolutely love this. Mainly because I say it myself.

It's why I enjoy talking on these forums. I never was prescribed a pair of rose coloured glasses and am always able to engage in an argument or simple conversation while keeping a neutral opinion.

Not bad, I'm going to start asking the owners to pay me per post in our GDT's.

It's 10am EST right now, and I already know I'm not going to get any work done today.

I'm much happier with this unit. I understand this means nothing untill we prove it.

No one was looking for sympathy just stating that we have an injured D-corps. I wanted to make sure your GDT was up to date. Trust me sympathy is the last thing anyone in beantown looks for. That said we are really excited because the Sheriff is coming back in a few weeks which is great for hockey. Everyone loves Shane Hnidy.
The epic collapse of the Bruins in last year's playoffs (for which they don't get enough credit) showed a distinct lack of leadership. Who did the Bruins bring in to fill the leadership void? Thomas Kaberle from Toronto? Chris Kelly from Ottawa? Nathan Horton from Florida? Players from losing franchises, players who have never won anything. Sidenberg, Peverly? Are they leaders? At least when Montreal plucked a player from Atlanta, they chose someone with a Stanley Cup ring. (Sopel)
When Chara came in as a free agent from Ottawa, he was instantly named captain. Can you think of another free agent who automatically took over the captaincy with his new team? Maybe Messier in New York, but at least he had a pedigree of Stanley Cup championhips in his resume. Why was Chara named captain? What leadership qualities had he shown? What has he ever won? Or did the Bruins just give the "C" to the tallest player in the room?
I watched my first NHL game on TV in 1963. So I've seen my Habs, and your Bruins, for many years. I learned long ago that the B on the Bruins sweater stands for bush-league. Hence the beat-down last game on two 37 year-old defenceman and a forward who never fights. Bravo, that's the style that works for the Bruins, but a style that won't be available in the playoffs; a style that will not be available tonight.
The Boston Bruins - an organization where the fans, the players and management still cling to the Big, Bad, Bruins image of the 70's. Even when the Detroit Red Wings have shown their model of team to be the winning formula. When I think of the Bruins, I think of a team that traded Bobby Orr but still idolizes John Wensink.
Good luck tonight. You seem like a decent poster.....nice that you can come here and talk freely.
And Shane Hnidy? Yeah, there's the answer.....the missing leadership ingredient.

I dont get to catch a lot of the montreal games, to be honest, and haven't been as active on HF as I usually am, but this piece of information excites me greatly.

Thank you!

So last game I came here to post how I expected a low scoring, cautious game decided by special teams. It ended up being one of the highest scoring games of the season, and I'm pretty sure Montreal scored like 18 pp goals that game. So I was way off.

Essentially, I've given up trying to predict which incarnation of the Bruins will show up on a given night. I am very excited for this one, but anxious as all hell.

One thing it made me think of though, is how I gotta get back to Montreal for another Bruins game. Done it twice and had an excellent experience both times.

Darth Quaider, eh? He sure tried to drag Pacioretty on the wrong side of the Farce Force last game.

No matter what DQ said about a potential slewfoot, that was a dumb moment to start up even more battle on the ice. We just got out of a big general brawl, did we needed another mindless show of goonery? It was as boring as it was game-delaying.

There is a penalty for delaying the game, ain't it? Why wasn't DQ given it?

Anyway, you are always welcomed on these boards, LW :-) Left Winger? LeWis?

My prediction for tonight: 4-1 habs. Subban, Subban, Subban and Gill.

CrimsonSkorpion was nice enough to come over to the Bruins board and engage in civil conversation. It was nice to see. In the spirit of that, I'd like to wish you guys good luck tonight. I'm hoping we don't see a brawl. Just a good, tight game. Should be fun to watch as always. Best rivalry in hockey.

Solka, we have had this convorsation far too many times whether it be here or via email. New deal, you keep Paccioretty from slewfooting Adam, and Ill ask Adam to not delay the game and tear Patches face apart.

We will never see eye to eye on McQuaid just as we will never see eye to eye on Subban. But hey, it feeds the rivalry. I told you I didn't agree with what McQuaid did, and he did too, but it is over now and I can almost guaruntee you it will not happen again tonight. Tonight is Skill, speed and Goaltenders.

Left Winger?!?!? Im a goaltender

And enough of this "Subban, Subban, Subban" crap. I get that enough in your emails! I swear you wouldnt have pegged a Subban hatty if you were talking to anyone but me.

PS--Didn't bossman tell you to stay off HF? Go back to work!

I just wanted to make sure we were on the same page.

(Litteraly. On the same board page, it's been a while since I got to argue with you publicly )

If Gomez plays as bad as last time, Bruins 5-3
If Gomez plays half as bad Habs, 5-4
If Gomez plays like he did Saturday night Habs, 5-2

Lets win it for the "Spacegoat"
