Good. I'd like to start getting him more playing time in the hopes that he can iron out some wrinkles and become the playoff starter. He's more dynamic and has the potential to really change a game with some of his quick, athletic saves. Let's give him a little stretch to run with it and see if he can lock down some of the holes in his game and eliminate the softies.
Laviolette said he was encouraged by the fact his team had energy at the skate, something it was lacking during Sunday’s debacle in New York.
“The pregame skate was good, I called the league to see if we could get the points off the skate and they said no,” Laviolette joked. “We actually got to play the game tonight. That’s the most important thing. We’ll be ready.”
