Carter is participating in practice, likely playing tonight.

Possibility Nodl is scratched tonight, could be replaced by Carcillo.

Also, Zherdev could be scratched.

Good. I'd like to start getting him more playing time in the hopes that he can iron out some wrinkles and become the playoff starter. He's more dynamic and has the potential to really change a game with some of his quick, athletic saves. Let's give him a little stretch to run with it and see if he can lock down some of the holes in his game and eliminate the softies.

I've been waiting for the Carcillo-Richards-Versteeg Line for awhile now.

That has untapped potential.

I guess the flip side of this losing streak is that no one's mentioned a particular 7 letter word yet.

Sweet! If only they weren't terrible. I mean the Flyers, not the hot dogs.

Flyers generally win when I attend. They're also playing the lowly Oil drops. Please win.

I just hope they show something to warrant me staying up to the wee small hours.

60 minute effort would be a nice start.

Tim P now has it, too, regarding possible healthy scratches.

http://www.csnphilly.com/03/08/11/Fl...717&feedID=695

Quote:
Laviolette said he was encouraged by the fact his team had energy at the skate, something it was lacking during Sunday’s debacle in New York.

“The pregame skate was good, I called the league to see if we could get the points off the skate and they said no,” Laviolette joked. “We actually got to play the game tonight. That’s the most important thing. We’ll be ready.”

An Edmonton writer asked Pronger if the Flyers still can recall how far they came to get into the playoffs last season and use that now to propel them forward.

“It’s what you do with that knowledge that counts,” Pronger replied.

Loose pucks

Sergei Bobrovsky is in goal. … Based on the skate, tonight’s healthy scratches should be Andreas Nodl and Nikolay Zherdev. That means Dan Carcillo is back in the lineup.

Ugh, now we get to see Coatesy filling his face with empty calories and thus speaking poorly and slurred. And when he's done drinking we get to see him eat hot dogs too.

Oiler fan coming in peace

Gotta give props to the GDT OP. What a work of art! I hope it's a good game but Oilers lose because this season is over for us.

By the way, best part of the OP is the shot of Jason Smith. Still one of my favorite Oilers of all time.
