TBn News Article on Pegula Travelling to all games

www.buffalonews.com/sports/sabres-nhl/article361069.ece

Love that he and his wife are sitting in the stands, checking out the fan experience elsewhere, the travel of the team etc... Continues to say and do everything right. Again commented on how he does not make decisions based upon money.

Some highlights IMO:

Quote:
Pegula was in Minnesota's XCel Energy Center for Sunday's win, just like he's been for all seven games since he took over
Quote:
"Things are going well. Besides meeting the players on the road, we're just looking at how the team travels and various things that Kim and I might see to help them out."
Quote:
Pegula said his wife is paying particular attention to the fan experience on this road trip. They're not sitting in luxury boxes. They're in the stands. Unobtrusive and wearing no Sabres gear, they easily fit in at a place like Minnesota.
Quote:
Pegula was there mostly to observe but he said he offered input to remind Regier of the franchise's long-term goals.

"I'm not a hockey coach or skills evaluator but I definitely can add input," he said. "I never made a decision in my life based on my money. It was just what can we do to up the team right now to try to build into the future. Short-term Band-Aids don't appeal to me
My enthusiasm for the offseason and beyond continues to be an optimistic one

It's like his wife is decorating their new home. if i bought the Sabres I would probably just live at the Arena.

This guy gets it. It feels like I couldn't do much better in my life than emulate Terry Pegula as a manager/boss.

On an unrelated note, I have discovered that Terry Pegula totally looks like Richard Rich from the film "Richie Rich".

Bad. Ass.

But does he stand up and cheer when the Sabres score a goal?

This guy is the ****ing man. He single-handedly donated enough money to Penn State this year to upgrade our club hockey program to a D-I team and build a state of the art multipurpose arena with two rinks.

You guys seem to have a very devoted and involved owner, congrats!

Pegula stood up and cheered 189 million times when he bought the team, he can sit and clap when the Sabres score.... He earned the right

right now, he just seems to be in the honeymoon phase and wants to see how everything works.

Hes like a kid with a new toy right now. Lets just hope he stays that interested.

Side Note: Did he sell off his business or is he still running that too?

To me it seemed he just said this because Pegula has been sitting in the stands without any Sabre gear on. So if he stood up and cheered that would show him being a Sabres fan and possible blowing his cover. I didn't think the post was negative.

Perhaps. I hit him with the equally potent Buffalo Persecution Complex. We'll see how he counters.

Thanks. Exactly this. The article makes it sound like he doesn't want to be noticed and is just checking out the experience the average fan gets around the league. But knowing he's a die hard Sabres fan it must be hard not to go nuts especially on an OT goal like Stafford's!

Ah no I didn't read it that way. But yeah, I see what you're saying now.

Was he in the crowd at Philly?
