Like riding the goalie on a run until he has a meltdown, I don't think its a bad thing to give him a night off. In fact, I think its a good thing to let a guy catch his breath on an up note. Get the other G some work because our playoffs have proven one G is not always enough.

that sounds like the standard disinformation. yea, the cast is about immobilizing the damaged bone. thats a fact. yes, it can be removed at anytime. thats also a basic fact of life.
what they are avoiding is that he didnt need the cast before the florida game and did not need to miss a game. clearly healing the fracture has taken a step backwards from no face offs, to no soup.
the doctor obviously thinks that immobilizing the thumb and not playing is necessary now.

yea...that makes more sense. move a 4 winger to center and the wing slot open for fehr is a 4 slot. move laich to center and a top 9 wing slot opens which is a better fit.
