Well habs fans none of us are particularly happy about the injury. We're sad for you, and we can relate having probably seen Savard's career come to an end too.

The Chara suspension won't end up being long enough for any of you to feel justice. The only justice will be beating us in the playoffs, which is the kind of competitive spirit I hope from you guys. Let's hope that we meet there and have a good clean series.
Kids career could be over, I honestly don't really care if the Habs beat the bruins in the playoffs right now

Me neither. Especially after reading some of their posters asking for ''head-hunting'' when they were down by 2 goals. How brave and gritty. Bruins fans just like the players are the definition of sore losers.

2. Before game, Bruins player says his teammates are justified in "taking runs at them"
3. Score is 4-0 for Habs.
4. Puck is long gone.
5. Chara uses his arm to drive Pax's head into the Stanchion.
6. Chara admits he knows they're at the bench, but claims ignorance of how benches are constructed.

Yeah, looking at the facts, who could say for sure if there was intent. Juries convict on less.
Well when it comes to legal involvement, I tend to side on it not happening.

It was a hockey play. An irresponsible one? Yes. An illegal hockey play? Sure!

But the only time I think police should be involved is when it goes beyond the scope of hockey. Guys chasing each other around the ice and clubbing them with sticks, Todd Bertuzzi, skate stomps to exposed areas....

This was a horrible, horrible hockey play and one that I'd suspend Chara for 20+ games for if I were in charge, but I wouldn't look at criminal charges.

As I said, intent is a straw man justification the NHL uses to justify small suspensions vs. big suspensions, when in reality intent should be the thing that makes a huge suspension into criminal proceedings.

Chara says he didn't mean it and while there is a lot of circumstantial evidence to suggest he may have, we can never truly and honestly know for sure.

I'll take him at his word.

But even if you accept he had no intent, this kind of reckless insane play should still be a lengthy, lengthy suspension.

However, for the NHL, Chara would basically have had to say "screw him, I wanted to kill that guy" before they'd give him more than 5 games.

Max Pacioretty was our next superstar. He was going to be the next forward in the team, as soon as next year.

What Chara did is ****ing disgusting. I'm done with this league.

This is what the NHL NEEDS to do on senseless acts of violence. Unfortunately, Gary and the boys are more worried about getting their money out of Phoenix. I feel the same way about this as when Bertuzzi suckered Moore. I wonder if Mike Richards will say that Chara has to learn respect??

When Mario called out the league, this does nothing but confirm what he said. A bunch of neandrathals are ruining the best game in the world. Congrats Gary, you have Trevor Gillies, Matt Cooke, Zdeno Chara and Todd Bertuzzi as your poster boys for marketing the NHL.

So after going down 4-0, some Bruins fans were calling for injuries. Patches was the victim and they were proud. Some wished he was dead, and a little more force would have made that a reality.

It just makes me sick. A kid's career is possibly over and the league will probably keep their collective heads up their *****.

Max Pacioretty has fractured vertabrae from a cheap late hit from behind that drove his head into a steel pole. Peter Ciarelli calls it "a strong hockey play" and that Chara should not be suspended even one game.

Honour in hockey is dead.
