No suspension?

I seriously don't feel like watching the NHL anymore. Makes me want to puke...

Come ON!

To the posters wondering if Chara called Pax. This ain't European Soccer, he won't & even if he did, no way in Hell would they accept his call. Ask the Mike Keane's of the world & they'll tell you the exact same thing!

Holy ****ing ****. Just when you think the NHL can't sink lower, they do. It's 1975 all over again.

it was brought up previously actually

anyway, I am GLAD we have a team built like the one we do. How evident was it last night (and the past few games) that we are a great team when we play to our potential. It involves (clean) hitting too!

I never want to change our identity to match the Bruins. Would it have made a difference if we had a thornton on our team? No. Chara would have made the same play. Did it stop Cooke that Chara was on the Bruins (and thornton and go down the list of gutless pukes)? No...
The bruins are just an evil team who ironically have some of their best players' careers ended by cheapshots. What is Neely's stance? I bet "great hockey vision by Chara".

Well we may as well kill Chara next time he comes to the Bell Centre, it won't even be a fine or suspension.

...and the NHL officially is a joke.

I won't make any high minded proclamations about giving up on it, but if a fan so diehard that he's on a message board is wondering about their fandom (and thus dollars), I cannot imagine casual fans are not outright checking out.

Not to call you out or anything, but Chara said today he'd try to get in touch with him. I couldn't fault Pacioretty for not accepting the call, however, much like Savard did with Cooke.

I hafta say that even as a Bruins fan, I'm surprised. I thought Chara would get 3-5 games for sure.

Im appauled at the lack of discipline in the NHL. SO dissappointing.

If Subban did the same thing to Horton, Bruins fans would want him thrown out of the league.

I can't believe they didn't do anything.

While a young 22 year old player is laid up waiting to find out the extend of his injuries, Chara gets to skate with his team and await a phone call saying he's all set? Not even one game?

Insult to injury. I would feel so slighted if I was Max Paccioretty.

I am a Bruins fan, but my god its things like this that make me question why I watch hockey.

People think certain players are ruining the sport? Try the higher ups that arent instituting fines and penatlies for garbage plays.

Only in the NHL can you get two minutes for accidently tipping the puck out of play, but you can potentially end somebody's life and career and walk away unscathed.

I honestly may have to take a break from hockey for awhile.

It's a ****ing glass panel, it doesn't have a mind. Chara drove him to that panel.

Exactly what I was expecting. Trevor gillies is sitting at home for a lot less than what Chara did. There is a double standard in the world where the rich and powerful have different rules than the working class. The NHL is no different, the "star" wealthy players are afforded the luxury of being above the law. If Ryan white hits someone in this manner then he is sitting for 10 games minimum.

Although I think you are partly right that there is no way in hell that stanchion should be there...

when you brake this incident down, Chara is main factor. His actions caused the play. No player has skated, or has been driven into that part of the arena since the Molson/Bell Centre's establishment. The fact that there is an obstacle there is independent.

------------------------------------------------------------------

the guy making the decision made a short-sighted one. Habs try to be a classy organization and stay away from this stuff, but the NHL is basically saying take care of this yourselves here... that's a fair criticism.
