Frankly, it's sad. The bruins are a sad team, the NHL is a sad league. Sad.

It time to start a new league with only 8 Canadian teams, the NHL can live in their sunbelt dream.

so this is now an acceptable tactic : driving puckless opponents you wanna get back at in a turnbuckle and break their spine. "just an infortunate part of the game" as those dopes will say...

jerks at NHL

I think Mario Lemieux said it best:

"Ostie de ligue de poubelle"

"****ing garbage league"

Posted this in the wrong thread (delete duplicate, please!)

Im appauled at the lack of discipline in the NHL. SO dissappointing.

If Subban did the same thing to Horton, Bruins fans would want him thrown out of the league.

I can't believe they didn't do anything.

While a young 22 year old player is laid up waiting to find out the extend of his injuries, Chara gets to skate with his team and await a phone call saying he's all set? Not even one game?

Insult to injury. I would feel so slighted if I was Max Paccioretty.

I am a Bruins fan, but my god its things like this that make me question why I watch hockey.

People think certain players are ruining the sport? Try the higher ups that arent instituting fines and penatlies for garbage plays.

Only in the NHL can you get two minutes for accidently tipping the puck out of play, but you can potentially end somebody's life and career and walk away unscathed.

I honestly may have to take a break from hockey for awhile.

Someone PLEASE start a Facebook group to let the NHL know we want headshots and intent to injure activities to be dealt with harshly.

If the NHL won't take this seriously, their ticket/merchandise buyers have to make them take it seriously. There IS strength in numbers.

The guy clearly shoved the player into a precarious hit and was appropriately given a major for interference. How is this different than a hit from behind (the shove was the same as a cross-check) where a player breaks his neck?

ZERO game suspension is a grossly negligent decision. Wow.

don't know what to say. ultimately, according to the written rules, the league is probably doing the correct thing, but we all know that it's more than what is written that concerns us.

I can't help but look at this in the context of the times we're living in and consider it something relatively small if generation Y,X, and maybe even Boomer DO SOMETHING for the sake of the working class' quality of living.

Imagine if the NFL and two other sports were to be shut down concurrently. Might be some acting out.

Christ, can you imagine if this had been Trevor Gillies or Tom Kostopolous or someone no one gives a **** about doing this to Crosby or Stamkos or one of the Sedins or something? Suspended for the season.

I must say in all of this I've come to realize at least our enemies the Leafs have some pretty classy fans. Have seen almost nothing but praise for Max and best wishes, and it just goes to show my increasing hate for Boston and decreasing hate for Toronto all this time hasn't been without merit.

I honestly want them to become a real playoff team again, so we can actually have a rival that plays some real hockey. They have a tough physical team too, but they don't pull disgraceful stuff like this, Philly and Boston are honestly a disgrace to this league.

A real eye opener when you look at clubs like Montreal, Toronto, Vancouver, Washington, etc. Clubs that actually come to play hockey, not clubs like Boston/Philly who are talented but just go for the easy way out bullying and injuring players in order to win.

I'm just happy my team and the leafs aren't those types of teams. Sure they have Don Cherry the moron skwaking away about stupidities but I have to say I'm impressed with the reaction of most leaf fans on this forum, like I said a real eye opener.

It's teams that play a tough style of play that aren't going around injuring people with the likes of Cooke or Chara that will get my praise. Talent > Bullying for me any day of the week. And I'm not trying to imply Chara has a history of cheap shotting, but all it takes is one cheap shot to end a guys career and that's basically what he may have done.

No ****ing suspension? No fine? Did the NHL honestly want to make this into a ****ing bigger thing than it already was?

**** suckers.

Awards:
Trading for Gregory Campbell was probably the best move the Bruins have ever made.

And yes, before you tell me, I know he's not allowed to review cases involving the Bruins. If you think that changes anything, you're incredibly naive. Anyone who saw the leaked emails knows how things really work in the NHL.

I have a friend who has season tickets second row behind the visitors bench if anyone wants them for the next habs-bruins game. I bet he will sell them for a pretty nice price.

Knew it, called it, still pissed off. Gonna degenerate again next game vs Boston btw. Twice in a row they miss the boat.
