Meh I don't. Honestly. Why win at this point? What is the point? Playoffs? We can't make it. Its probable but impossible. Even if they do they'll be blown out in a 4 game sweep. We win more by loosing than winning. Is it frustrating? Yes. But this is just how reality works. You dominate then you suck for a while.

Wings sucked for while
Chicago sucked for a while
Toronto... well, its Toronto
Pitsberg

etc.

This was coming. Avs fans have been spoiled for so long that they overact to such play.

You can argue that you expected this but just want the team to compete however that mutually exclusive. Just suck it up Princess!!

I thought we played a pretty good game for about 2.5 periods. In fact we could've taken the lead back after they made it 2-2. But, a classic mental error by Hunwick and the Wild take the game. Outside of that, I thought we were hungry for the puck, battled hard along the boards, and we playing a much smarter game overall.

We did a good job of crashing the net, as a whole last night. We played okay, other than our designated bums out there.

Duchene looked awesome after he got that goal. That was very nice to see. Johnson also had a good game.

I don't get why we look so much better on the road than at home.

Agreed. Every team goes through a rebuild in their history. Just other teams (Pittsburgh) know how to suck more than other teams (Columbus, Atlanta, Minnesota) back in the day.

I'm seriously think they are tanking on purpose

They play good for a good chunk of the game and screws up the rest. I recall a couple of games where we didn't start good (for the tank) and did good for the rest of the game just to make it entertaining.

What can you ask more at this point. A "entertaining tanking" is what i want now

Rewatched the game...because im a glutton for pain but here are my thoughts.

1. One of the better team games. They are almost there but not quite.

2. Matt Duchene hasnt looked this good since flash went down. Took the puck hard to the net ala Foppa. Something all the Avs players should be doing more of especially guys like Winnik and Yip.

3. Matt Hunwick...this guy is a huge reason to this teams failure. Does nothing well. Even his speed isnt put to any use. The thing that chaps my ass the most is Sacco does not make him accountable whatsoever. Completely failed on the Havlat goal and looked like a Bantam player on the Spurgeon goal.

4. Ryan Wilson...skating, skating, skating. Work on it in the summer and he would be that much better.

5. Johnson had a very solid game but again hes a big shot on the point that doesnt get it through enough for my likeing.

6. Love me some O'Byrne. We talk about future captains for this team. ROB might be a dark horse candidate for that someday.

7. Why cant this team play like this at home?

8. Loved Budaj trying to get in the fray at the end. SHould have just went for it seeing as the season is lost.

9. Stastny had an underrated game. Was solid on both sides of the puck. Took a few bad penalties though.

10. Seems like the team is turning the corner a bit as long as they compete and act like they care i'll be satisfied.

Are you kidding me? Stastny sucks. Can't do anything offensively, isn't a leader, soft as hell, rode the coattails of Stewart, 2nd round pick, etc., etc. Might as well trade him away while he's overrated by the rest of the league.
