Ok fine they dont show up as much if the team isnt doing as well...
the point here obviously is the arena...doesnt matter if the keep selling out at 16,000 fans per game....they cant be viable financially and if they cant get an arena its sad but they will have to move and i think will (if that doesnt change).
On a side note...your having a hard time cracking 15K most years...would that increase if there is more room in a new arena? theres no guarantee but hopefully worth a shot...
how many times will they have to be saved? You cant have a sports franchise stay alive if people only show up when they win...they cant win every year guys...not in a 30 team NHL

I admire your enthusiasm. As far as being a great team, if you consider missing out on the playoffs this year a great team, then you're right. The roster shows no reason why Pittsburgh should expect anything more than a tenth place finish. 2 Rookies on the top two lines, suspect defence and porous goaltending aren't going to get it done. In a few years perhaps, but not now.
