definatly is division heavy...the rangers are gonna suck this year if for no other reason than they have to play the devils, flyers, and penguins so many times. (hey, the penguins with crosby, lemiuex and malkin, plus recchi and whoever else they might sign sure sound like they'll be better than the rangers)

...

I would have to disagree about the October schedule completely. The Rangers tend to do very well against the Islanders for some reason...so I see us at least splitting that October series with them...

We also can beat the Canadiens, they are not a top team

Someone needs to lighten up a little...my post was tongue in cheek.

I agree, the Rangers have had good success against the Isles but that was in the past. These are different times now and we don't even know what any of these rosters will look like, so, it will be difficult to say whether we have a shot or not.

But I do know you can mark down as losses the games against the Devils and Flyers!!!

Whose-ever cheek...

your tongue was in, Jackson, I still beg to differ...with the new shootout format and other gimmicks in the game, I think the Rangers will give Washington a run for their money, or somebody else's money, as long as it isn't Karmonos'.

This Isles do look tough this year...they seem to have been pretty well-positioned for the new CBA. The Devils, on the other hand, will be somewhat interesting. Although losing Friesen, Hrdina and [I forget who, a Russian, Kozlov?] is not going to hurt them. I'd guess that of Stevens, Rafalski and Niedermayer, they try to keep Niedermayer and Rafalski first, if possible, but may only end up with Rafalski. The team played well without Stevens and it's time for them to move on. Niedermayer will be looking for too much, and Rafalski may be the only affordable option. Losing one of those three could actually make the Devils more beatable - only not by the Rangers.

Not crazy about the saturday night home games. I like when they play on the road on saturday night and I can flip through the various HNIC games.
