If Wilson had kept hustling that time he went behind the net and the player he was chasing dropped it behind, he would have prevented that breakout, because the player wjho received the puck broke out the same side and zoomed right past him before he realized what was going on and he had taken two easy strides, aparrantly thinking the play was on the other side.

Great to see Rinne get another well deserved shutout and to leapfrog Anaheim and Minny.

Great way to start my Friday. Preds shutout the Wild, get two points in the process. Now hopefully we can get some help from other teams and go on to the next game.

It's about time. Now string together 4 more to prove it wasn't a fluke.

Dr. Trotz said Fisher is "fine".

Uh-oh.

Fisher got the same amount of ice time as Wilson who was on his line, except for a bit extra on the powerplay. It seems Trotz decided to limit the ice time slightly of those who hadn't produced much with a lot of minutes recently. Which makes sense. Kostitsyn, on the same line, only got a bit more because he played more PP shifts and played in the 4 on 4.

no, fisher didn't play the third, and if he did, only a shift or tow. legwand and spaling were getting extra shifts.

oh, and who wants to argue with #WINNING now?

3-0 by 4:45am is always a great way to start a day.

Phoenix wins in regulation which keeps the Flames in striking position for us while keeping the Yotes 3 point above us with us having only one game in hand. Just need the Ducks and Kings to lose Friday night and help us out a bit.

14 games remaining, 17 points or so needed for a solid chance (95 pts). Still doable.

Oh yeah, you're right. Fisher isn't shown out after about the three minute mark of the third.

I wondered why I saw Wilson with Spaling. I had assumed they just didn't get a full line change. But now I see that Wilson also did a shift with Legwand.

Thanks, did not notice correctly, I saw that Fisher had more shifts and time than Wilson so it seemed to add up, he must have had way more before he left the game. I hope he's ok.

Great to get back in the win column. Great Win. If we just win our home games then we are in and the way we played tonight we acted like we wanted to be in the playoffs. The Legwand and Ward and Erat line was money. Ward gives Erat and Legwand confidence and they have found some chemistry. The lines are set now I hope Trotz stops changing them. Sk needs to get hot again and get Wilson going and then with the energy that Spaling brings with Smithson and Halichuk(he continues to impress). Why is Hornqvist with Smithson and Spaling? Bam Bam has game. He has a nose for the puck. He's not a push over either and he can hold his own. Blum continues to be amazing and he settled in with Klein. Klein is playing better now that they are together. Franson still gets lost and with SOB plays tough and played a good game. If the Cube comes back he can alternate with Franson. I don't see where Dumont fits in. Why didn't Poile just trade him if nothing else just buy him out at the deadline. It's a waste to see him just being scratched and he's not the type to just jump in and find his game. Pekka solid again put we really put the D on and tamed the Wild. We just shut them down. I hope Fisher is alright I know he is pressing and he'll come through because we need him.

I watched NHL Overtime on Versus and couldnt tell if they were complimented or slamming the Preds. They talked about our lack of scoring and how it was utterly unexcusable for the Wild to lose this game as if Nashville should be a guaranteed win.

But then Roenick praises Smithson's "sick pass" amd they give Rinne the second star of the night.

HUGE, HUGE WIN. Thanks guys, especially #8 for being out there STILL blocking shots when I didn't think he was even going to play. I really do want for someone to stand up and send a message the next time Horns is horse-collared or blindsided around the net; when zids, of all people did that without anyone doing anything, I just about lost it.

OK, so if Trotz is awarding time based on play, can we have Nick center the second line and Fisher the 3rd? I'm kidding, I think, but was nice to see Nick rewarded - he's worked hard this year.
