D'Ago and Halak with big games against their old team and absolutely key in the win. Some people around here get upset and slag former Habs (and/or management) when they play well against us, but I don't see the point. Credit where credit is due. Must have been tough for the Habs to get up for this game, but most of the team played alright imo, given the circumstances. Outshot the Blues, but basically a few giveaways decided the game. If anything, I was expecting mental mistakes tonight as opposed to actual lack of compete, and that turned out to be more or less the case.

Its true, and waiting for someone to bring it up. Pleks has hockey talent, but the guy could be doing so much more. Lately he hasn't been much of a factor. He's turning into another AK.

The habs weren't moving their feet and didnt seem to be mentally sharp, so the result was predictable. I hope the pacioretty injury doesn't have a lingering effect on their minds and that this was just a one off type of game.

Out of the bad, I thought Pouliot, and Wisniewski were the worst. There's a gaping hole left on the wing of gionta and gomez, and I just dont see who the answer would be without breaking up eller and kostitsyn, which I'm hesitant to do.

Anyways, if pouliot continues to struggle this bad, then the experiment will be short and he will go back with desharnais and face the bottom six of the opposition. That's where his niche seems to be right now.

SNAP. You're right, I was sure I saw NBC listed.
My bad then, but yeah, it's probably a Penguins thing. I think most of their Saturday games are afternoon.

Well that sucks, but I can honestly say that I kind of expected it. Hopefully our boys take the next couple of days to bounce back.

Hopefully the squad can re focus after such an emotional last few days.
Don't understand how Martin can give Desharnais less than 10 minutes and White less than 6. Those two players give it their all when on the ice, can't say the same for others. Why does Weber continue to sit when players like Mara and Picard play but are definitely not prospects or long term answers? Yannick, still a rookie, has shown potential for improved play.

I say bring up Dawes.

Some fresh blood might be what is needed... and necessary.

Anyway, I am still traumatized... as just 48 hrs ago I truly thought Pax was paralyzed on the ice with a broken neck..

since the habs traded for all these depth defensmen, the trend has been to sit weber against the big and aggressive teams. The blues fit that bill.

I'm surprised that there were 28 shots. He didnt seem to be tested at all, or very little.

It's an invitation for Habs fans to express outrage or forever be called hypocrites.

I wonder how many minutes Eller and AK played together tonight? They should have played them more.

lolwut.. you sound like I was specifically pointing you out.. if you don't feel concerned, ignore my comment?

And you are over-analyzing what I wrote.. there's a question mark at the end of the 2nd sentence which contains the word 'everybody'... get it now? Should I be more specific and add a voice message so you could distinguish the difference between a statement and a question?

At least Plekanec is reliable defensively and knows how to play in our zone.

Gomez finished the game off for us tonight with a horrible pass and lazy ass backcheck. He's a piece of trash.

Cammalleri & Plekanec aren't playing great either, but to their defense, they look like Gretzky and Lemieux in comparison with Gomez.
