I would say... a Jason Smith type (pre-senators) lol. Strong leadership... sound defensively.. can chip in the odd point.

I don't think they have to give them a 3 year ELC- but they are covered by ELC's for 3 seasons I believe.

Here's how it works:

Figure out how old the player will be on September 15th in the calendar year the player signs the ELC.

If the player is 18-21 years old, the ELC is 3 years.
If the player is 22-23 years old, the ELC is 2 years.
If the player > 23 years old, the ELC is 1 year.

Borowiecki will be 22 years old on Sep 15/11, hence a 2 year ELC.
Derek Grant will be 21...hence a 3 year ELC.

Hope this clarifies things.

Does he drop the gloves very often????? Before he went to college!

I know college has no fighting in it.

In the AHL he will be challenged!

Cool, I wish him all the best in the organization. It is important to have some d-first defensemen in the system. Also does anyone else really enjoy the fact that now they’re young players coming into the league and the sens organization that grow up Sens fans.
Wow the 2008 draft is really looking promising. With Karlsson and Smith already in the NHL and now Wiercioch, Grant and Borowiecki playing in the AHL.

Now if only Andre can get his back figured out.

Not much hope for Sandin but I guess ya never know.

I've met Mark a few times. I really wish him well and look forward to him playing in Bingo. Will he complete his degree?
Gryba already has over 100 PIM this season. Gryba is a right shooting d-man and Borowiecki is a left shooting d-man. Would be awesome to see these two getting paired together.

Any two of Gryba, Borowiecki and Sdao would be a terrifying sight.
