Vaive Vallin.

How much more abuse must we put up with Dougie?

Canuck fan here, coming in peace.

I'm very impressed with your team, you've been a solid team for so long, and you have so many young, solid contributors coming up. The entire league must envy this!

Also, I've got to hand it to the fans in San Jose last night. They really contributed to the playoff atmosphere last night and it sounded wild. I know Tanev off the Canucks, in between periods, comments on how loud the place was.

Great, exciting game last night, thats for sure. I wish it could have ended in a tie, because both teams deserved to walk away at the same level last night.

If we are healthy for the playoffs, and they can improve their special teams (primarily the PK, I expect the PP to improve with Boyle back) we should have one of our best runs ever.

My playoff lineup would be:

Marleau - Thornton - Seto
Clowe - Pavelski - Heatley
Eager - Couture - Wellwood
Mitchell - Nichol - Mayers

Boyle - Murray
White - Demers
Vlasic - Braun
Huskins
Wallin

Bruan is simply better than Huskins in everyway. Wallin should never see a minute of ice time. He hasn't earned it, and he does more harm than good out there. We might have some issues clearing the crease, but we'll move the puck as well as any team and Niemi is pretty damn good in traffic. I prefer a defense than can clear a puck over one that can clear the crease.

That team has 3 scoring lines, and an excellent energy/checking line. Every line has speed and size, and every defensive pairing can move the puck.

I don't know if it can win a cup, but I think (if Todd benches Wallin) it's better than last years team.

I'm not so sure about that yet. Huskins stabilizes the penalty kill and adds another veteran presence to the D. While Braun adds a lot more offensive threat, I feel more comfortable with Huskins for the defensive aspect. Braun still has a few rookie mistakes every game and I'm not too sure how that would go over in the post-season.
Not to mention the Huskins - Demers line was really solid at the end of last season and this season.

Murray - Boyle
Vlasic - White
Huskins - Demers

You have a puck mover on every line paired with a pretty solid defensive partner.

Which adds to my confusion on what Todd McLellan has been thinking the last few games. He should've initially paired White with Vlasic to build some chemistry. Wallin clearly should be the odd-man out, so there is no point in developing any chemistry with him at the moment. With Boyle and Huskin's injury, I would've gone with
Murray - Braun
Vlasic - White
Wallin - Demers

Wasn't Huskins-Demers the third pairing used by TMac against Colorado and Detroit last year in the playoffs? I seem to remember that pairing doing well, at least defensively.

Hopefully someone saves us the trouble and just cheapshots Wallin out of the rest of the season in one of the remaining games. Come on, Steve Ott! We promise to never post photographic or video evidence of you pissing your pants while getting manhandled by JT again if you elbow Nic out of the lineup!

My favorite part about the Mitchell goal is that Wallin makes the play to get the puck to White and then goes to the bench so he doesn't get the plus.

Not sure, but I know McLellan decided to put in Wallin and only play Demers for like 2 minutes a game in the Chicago series.
And that's despite him scoring the first goal of the series.

Great game last night. Hopefully if these two teams meet up in the playoffs, everyone is healthy. As a Canucks fan, I'd be much happier having Edler and Bieksa clearing the front of the net than Rome and Tanev

So say chicago passes us in points but is second in their division to detroit, while we win our division. Would we still get an automatic top 3 seed and home-ice if we face chicago in the playoffs?

Yep. Even if, hypothetically, the Sharks finished 11th in total points, with the other 4 teams in the Pacific finishing 12th, 13th, 14th and 15th, the Sharks would still be guaranteed a top-3 seed.

McLellan. One C. One. Just like McAuley (not McCauley)

and while we're on the subject

McLaren (not McClaren)
and
Vlasic (not Vlassic)

I'm pretty sure it was McCauley (if you're referring to Alyn).

Google confirms - Alyn McCauley

Whoops, I got it backwards then. People were doing it wrong. Must've been people saying McAuley instead of McCauley. I guess sooner or later I was bound to get it wrong too.

Man what an awesome game last night. As an usher you aren't really suppose to get really into the game and cheer (besides when we score), but boy it was hard not to. Caught myself a few times getting overly excited about goal opportunities in the 3rd. Definitely awesome playoff atmosphere that we can look forward to in the post season.

Text to rat out those of us having an even more AWESOME of a time?

Jk. Some guy got escorted on Tues. at the Nashville game. He wasn't acting out of line, maybe he was a "lean offender" - not sure exactly why he was tossed in the 3rd. It MAY have had something to do with the amount of beer he was storing on the floor of his aisle than in his cup or stomach. Party foul

From the best of my knowledge it seems to be working well. It helps with the anonymous complaints about leaners, drunks or any other problems us ushers may have missed.

WOW what an absolutely amazing game. I have never been so excited for a regular season game, and talk about a rollercoaster of emotions in that 3rd period until the shootout. I went to the Nashville game on tuesday, really wish I had gotten tickets for last nights game instead .
