I bet Lehner said something to Brust before the game that threw him off his game, or maybe stared him down from the press box.

We need to get Robin Lehner away from this team before he ruins their season.

Another theory is that Barry Brust looked in a mirror and was reminded that he is Barry Brust, not Patrick Roy.

In all seriousness, I hope Barry bounces back and plays great again. While I like Lehner's talent and competitiveness, his game has far too much inconsistency and technical flaws to get the job done at this point.

You are Not going to win games @ the AHL level playing 2 or 2 1/2 lines.

They have stretched the rubber band to far and it has snapped. Forwards are exhausted. D-men play the whole game playing in front of their goalie as the puck is down there the whole game so they are beyond exhausted.

MaindotC I do Not see hope for making the playoffs yet again. Binghamton no longer has the depth to compete at the AHL level.

Saturday they play @ CHARLOTTE after a 6 hr bus ride, CHARLOTTE was off last nite so they will be rested and waiting scarry................
Zeke

Of course, I can't and don't have time to watch Bingo games this year but I'm wondering about the "playing 2 or 2 1/2 lines" comment

Do you guys really miss Lessard? lol

I can understand about Greening, Condra and Butler but this team had depht from the beginning. There has been injuries all season long so I don't see a big difference with earlier line-ups and now.

They had their best stretch of the season (8 wins straight IIRC) not long ago when even more players were in Ottawa (Wick and O'Brien +?)

33 Brust, Barry
29 Brodeur, Mike

61 Benoit, Andre
55 Hale, David
7 Kinrade, Geoff
2 Gryba, Eric
6 Schira, Craig
17 Wiercioch, Patrick

84 Locke, Corey
28 Keller, Ryan
26 Daugavins, Kaspars
19 O'Brien, Jim
14 Wick, Roman
25 Dziurzynski, David
23 Cowick, Corey
27 Hoffman, Mike
21 Grant, Derek
10 Tifu, Yannick
16 Bass, Cody
20 Bailey, Jason

This is a young team full of rookies but outside of Bailey and Tifu, I don't see what's wrong on paper. And even then, I'm sure they do a decent job on the 4th line.

You win as a team or you lose as a team

Since you say you don't watch the team, trust people that have seen this team all season. This is not the same team that went through the 8 game winning streak. Yes there were callups then, but for most of that run, it was not as many.

Even coach sees what everyone else sees..as per his quotes in today's paper.
"Kleinendorst's SOS after the game was apparently critical.

"We've got six guys up with the big club," Stirling. "They aren't coming back. We're trying to make a playoff spot, and we're playing with East Coast call-ups. We're playing with a lot of young guys. We're asking a lot of them, and they may not be able to do it."

That doesn't sound like a coach who has a quality AHL team lol. This team simply can't compete with the rest of the league without the rest of their lineup.

Xspyrit Hell yes I miss Lessard when the Binghamton team gets pushed around the ice all game long!!!!!

Also they miss D Smith a lot.

On the 2 line comment read KK quotes below on that. As he says it well.

We're in a dogfight," he said. "Keeping our morale up, really, is going to be a challenge because we're real shorthanded. For the most part, we've been able to play four lines all year and right now, that's not even an option. So we play three lines for the most period and, late in periods, we're dropping to two.

"We're half on an East Coast Hockey League team right now," said Kleinendorst. "My bottom six guys are all guys that have spent time in the ECHL for most of the year. It's a challenge. That's probably the best word to use. It's definitely a challenge.

"The guys are giving it their all, I can tell you that. We're working hard. We're not changing things, we're trying to do everything that got us to this point. But it's a little bit of a stretch ... we're just a little shorthanded right now, that's all. That's probably the best way to put it."

yes, missing D Smith is the biggest thing. Greening/Condra/Butler sucks, but they could survive without them. They need smith though.

I'm surprised KK said that..he most def said a while ago when all these call-ups were happening, he wasn't going to use that as an excuse..

I guess reality has set in..if we get Derek back that will fill a huge hole in our D..

This, i've been very impressed by the kid. His play seems to be settling Gonchar down, which is wrong on so many levels but bodes well for next season.

It was even worse during that winning streak in terms of regulars missing, stop taking us for fools, or at least try to follow your team a bit closer if you are going to whine about it here.

And KK lost a lot of respect from me. First he says he is not going to use it as an excuse, then he does the same mistake as you and is victim of a really short selective memory...

So please. Nothing new to me though, I've been through this kind of thing ten thousand times. So many people like to open their mouth (to whine/complain most of the time) but can't even back it up with facts. I can, so good luck playing that game with me

You'll understand why I'll trust facts over your little opinion...
