If you saw Pronger's interviews in the locker room after the game, he was genuinely unhappy with how they payed.
Yeah I saw the interview... Once again, I don't think it was a bad thing I just think that the blame can fall on a lot of guys shoulders, especially the guys that have been in the league a lot longer. Plus I didn't like how Homer went public with it, it should have been kept in the lockeroom between the players and coaches.

Looks like we have a super-hero over here, what was the shot like 62 MPH? You cannot compare the scrub league you are in to the NHL.

I expect G's line to have a good game tonight. If we can gets Mike's line scoring we should roll over Atlanta. I am glad Chris got on him, The kid impresses me with his vision, grit, skating, defense, passing and scoring. Sometimes you need to rein that **** in a bit. This team needs G and Jeff. They are a major part of our core and future of this team.

Obviously not Mr. Sarcastic, however, he shoots about 70-80 and considering he's only my age that's pretty hard

Give this guy a gold star and a purple heart.

Seriously though, it's partly about how hard the shot is, but mostly about where/how it hits.

Saturday, March 12 update:

http://www.csnphilly.com/03/12/11/Fl...454&feedID=695

Quote:
The Flyers keep saying Chris Pronger’s right hand injury isn’t serious. Yet Pronger missed another game Saturday night.

This time, he entered the building wearing a supportive wrist brace on the right hand. Most days, we’ve seen him in a bubble cast of nothing but ice on the wrist and hand.

General manager Paul Holmgren was expected to meet with the media on Saturday.

“We miss him in the lineup,” coach Peter Laviolette said. “The fact he is not in there, everybody gets concerned about that. He plays 22, 25 minutes … He’s a guy who does a lot of things for us. Plays in a lot of situations. Certainly, you’d like to have him in the lineup.”

There are 14 games remaining after Saturday before the playoffs begin and you have to wonder what kind of condition Pronger is going to be in.

But Briere, Hartnell, and Leino shouldn't be dealt with differently. If anything, because they're "veterans" they should be the ones who are dealt with more severely because they're supposed to be the examples that the younger players are to follow. Essentially what you're saying is that they deserve a free pass where a younger player should be held accountable. That's the problem with hockey - it's always easy to blame a younger player than it is a veteran, but it's the veteran who should know better.

Like I said, I still think Pronger singled out Giroux simply because he sees something special in him and that he wants to help Claude bring his game to the next level. Look at the influence Chris had on guys like Corey Perry and Ryan Getzlaf. He called those guys out too and they brought their games to the next level as a result.

Getting hit by a puck in the arm and hand area is two different beast.

I'm sure if the kid hit you with the puck in the hand there is a high chance you could break your wrist.

has Giroux earned.....

the right to get in a HHOF'ers face(Pronger) because he's criticized by him?
I guess because Giroux kinda snuck in the All Sar game that gives him the right to run his mouth in the Flyer's lockeroom at 23 ?

Really ?

How many rings does Claude have ?

Any opinions ?

Is this a joke? I'm pretty sure I saw that Pronger called HIM out. Not the other way around.

Kids, this is why you don't do drugs. No, I don't care about Charlie Sheen. You will never be like him, but there is a good chance that you will be like that guy. And that would suck.

I'm fine with Pronger calling out Giroux as long as he also talks to his bud O'Donnell. He's been awful lately.

As I understand it, Pronger handles the media and Richards handles the locker room. Richards prefers to take guys aside instead of calling them out. They have a lot of locker room voices.

Nothing for Briere? Richards? Leino?
I doubt you'll see Pronger call out Richards. Not supposed to do that to a captain. I'm sure they talk. Everything Pronger says about Richards is overly supportive. A little too overly supportive publically.

Can not call the captain out publicly, that would be an awful idea. Media would get ahold of it and create a rift in the lockerroom. If Pronger has something to say to Richards, the door is closed for the conversation.

This is the latest update regarding Pronger -- from during the game Saturday night:

He is wearing a removable cast to aid healing. He is day-to-day and will travel. He wants to play Tuesday at Florida.

If your hand goes lower body, you are no longer player hockey.

You would then be "pulling the goalie."

Usually upper body means chest/shoulders and such which is why I asked, but

Actually, writers reporting a "nose to nose" confrontation between the two, OK ?

Giroux needs to shut his pie hole around seasoned vets, even Shelley has said there's a rift in the locker room.....Giroux needs to understand his "place"
