I'm much more scared about the Bolts than the Bruins to be honest.
Hopefully it will be Boston
Haven't you noticed that the Lightning have had trouble winning games lately? What can we expect from their goaltenders? Roloson isn't that young and Smith isn't a Vezina candidate. Facing TB could be like facing the Capitals last year.
But the fans are very supportive of Price, we know that much of the team's success rests on his shoulders.
Right now they are but the fans and Media in Montreal can turn on a dime. This guy is leaning in the direction of franchise goaltender at this point I would hate to see him walk as soon as he can because of the way he is/has been treated at times.
but lets not forget, Boston is 6th in Goals for, 5th in Goals for per game,
Vancouver is 1st in goals for, 3rd in goals for per game
Montreal is 22nd in goals for, 23rd in goals for per game
i cant imagine what careys stats would be with goal support
To me it is between Tim and Carey. If Carey ends up with 70 GP and Thomas with 55 lets say, that is a big difference in GP .. but still IMO unless Thomas has a bad end to the season, it is his to lose, he was unreal in the 1st half.
If anything Price stands as much a chance at the Hart as the Vezina.
Considering all the injuries and player fluctuation (between lines, roles, positions, ahl/nhl) Carey has been the one fabulous constant. I can not point out one game that was a notable stinker. The Boston Brawl game is an anomaly.
Yeah...I am bringing this one back from the dead. I went to NHL.com to see who the league leaders were in scoring and I saw a familiar face atop of the SV% and GAA leaders. Now I understand that his stats might have suffered a little if we made it past the Bruins but he had a decent showing.
If we learn to not leave players wide open and all alone in front of the net next playoff maybe we win a game in overtime?
I just wanted to bring up a solid effort by Price regardless of the outcome.
