Ok well it isn't really ridiculous because when I made this, I'm pretty sure Versteeg only scored twice so you're saying he was just so amazing that he gave him two great passes? Wow that comment is ridiculous if you ask me and the only way Nodl can score is if he gets passed to.

I'll give you the Versteeg comment since he hasn't been here long enough to gage the situation, but Nodl not getting passes is absurd. I don't have any specific examples to throw out on short notice but Nodl has been failing to finish on Richard's scoring chances all year. Other then his one hot streak early in the season, he's been the same Nodl we've seen his entire career which is good along the boards and forecheck but zero finish. It's no coincidence that he has been seeing less and less time on Richard's wing.

Ok you are right about Nodl because I do recall that I was yelling at the TV a few times when he still played with Richie lol

I do think we're starting to see Richie pass more often with Versteeg on his wing though. It just seems like he already has more confidence playing with him then he did playing with a constant carousel of Nodl, Carcillo, and a previously struggling JVR.

Yeah I do see him beginning to trust who he plays with, probably because Versteeg can actually score

Interview on Thrashers feed, Richards said he didn't mean to pass it. He tried to score. Although I haven't read this thread. Thought I'd post that.

haha and everyone's point is....he hasn't changed! He's doing the same things he's always done, yet somehow you think he is now passing more.

Why do you think he's only got 19 goals right now, instead of heading towards his 3rd straight 30 goal campaign? He's on pace for more than 40 less shots. He's certainly not handling it that much less. The guy's done nothing but pass all season.

The problem is, they're not good passes most of the time. If I had a nickel for every cross-ice pass...

You think you're just so funny being sarcastic but guess what? You're not. I was just asking a question when I made the thread.

Richards isn't going to pass Clarke (unless he plays an absurd number of games), but he'll easily be 2nd all-time on the Flyers in career assists. He's doing something right.
