Lundqvist.

Gotta give Wolski a lot of credit for the shootout goal. Lot of pressure when you MUST score to keep the shootout alive and he came through.

Potg: I went with sauer, kid played excellent, but henrik certainly earned it too

Good: much needed points, showed a lot of heart, and even though gaborik didn't score I thought he made some things happen out there....and henrik enabled his team to get 2 points against a very good team

Bad: our attempt at entering the zone on the pp is so bad its almost offensive

Redden: still the ducks game, it was so bad that I haven't gotten over it yet

I can't believe noone mentioned what a great effort put forth defensively by Anisimov line against Thornton line all night long!!! Not taking away anything from Lundquist and defense but that was unbelievable comeback effort after Anaheim stinker.

I hate McCreary. He's an awful referee. I don't know how many highsticks he missed last night. They weren't even away from the play. They were right out front and center in the middle of the action. ****ing awful. San Jose wouldn't have got the lead if he could even half ass do his job.

Anyway a gutsy performance by the team. Wolski saved our ***** in the shootout and then Dubinsky got us the win. Great games by our top 4 defenders--in particular Sauer. Henrik was superb. Two ****ed up goals off weird deflections. The one that Eager got deflected 3 times. Can't blame the goalie on those.

I just watch the replay of last nights pre-game. There's no way the Rangers beat San Jose. They are just too good. Niemi can't be scored on. If Heatly, Setoguchi, Jumbo Joe don't get you, Juicy Coutoure is good for a couple of hat tricks (natural, of course).

I thought it was funny that before the shootout McCreary was joking with the Rangers bench and giving them fist pounds.

I knew that the game was over when OT ended. Anyways, good luck and hopefully you get into the playoffs. I want to see what type of damage Hank could do. With Staal and Lundqvist, I think you are one elite center away from being a legitimate Cup contender. Maybe Brad Richards could be that guy. The depth up front, most notably down the middle, was the biggest difference between the Sharks and Rangers tonight. With that type of goaltending, you don't need much more offense.

Thanks.

POTG: Hank
Good: Sauer, Dubinsky, Girardi, Staal
Bad: Zuke
Redden: McCabe (thought he had a shocker)

Yeah McCreary sucks too. We should've had at least 6 more obviously blown calls.

huge 2 points, I am quite happy as this was a tough game against a very good and deep team
Right on. My thoughts completely. I would like to add that McCreary should ride right into the sunset and burn alive. Take Furlatt with him. 4 missed highsticks

That's why he's a "shootout specialist" (though obviously he's more then that).

The guys that do well in shootouts seem to be able to not choke when the game's on the line like that. There's a LOT of guys who choke on the pressure in those situations.

DUBUDUBIDOO, do you watch the games or look at the stats? You said that the Stepan line is a liability on defense, the only better plus minus than those 3 forwards is Feds. steps +6 Wolski +6 zucca +5. Probably not the reason!!
