Our "team" will go into the pits if we change that first line up. Why in the world would Murray do that? We don't need to bring a buoy onto line #1. The easiest way to score enough goals to keep moving through the playoffs will be on the back of Penner-Kopitar-Williams.
Just finished watching my recording of the game and HOLY ****! Handzus' goal from Poni was a thing of beauty. Poni was really kicking ass today, as was our amazing first line. That was hilarious watching the Stars fans go nuts for 20 seconds only to crush their world at the very end.
What a rollercoaster! Just finished watching the game after I got home! Wow! I went from crashing into my palms when I saw that puck go by Quick in the final minute, and then running around screaming like an idiot in my living room after Zeus put in that answering goal just seconds after! Amazing! I am up in the clouds today! Onto the next game! GO KINGS!
"It has not been a good day. I lost my glasses early this morning and I had to go buy a pair of 79 dollar reading glasses today. 79 bucks. You can literally get them at Costco, three-for-20." - Darryl Sutter's response to going up 2-0 in the series.
It's ironic... Ralph by himself leaves a lot to be desired (they simulcast on radio and he does a brutal job painting a picture of what's happening for radio listeners), but the combination of his minimalist PBP style with Reaugh's smart commentary are a great match for television.
I have to give props to Murray for changing up the PP setup. It is working and he's keeping Smyth off the second unit and Poni is a beast on the forecheck. Poni made that PP goal happen with his speed and size.
If Poni keeps playing like this, he's going to be a big help in the playoffs. You can see from all his emotion that he really wants to be here. While Frolov had more skill, most of the time he didn't seem to care what happened in the game.
