I'm not sure if it was mentioned in the GDT but McCormick (however great he was in Boston) has been a train wreck in the defensive zone for a few weeks now. Considering how solid he was in that regard earlier in the season I hope it's just a passing phase (possibly playing with the flu) because we need him down the stretch.

I wouldn't say brutal, but he did look pretty shaky tonight.

Enroth played like a backup goalie tonight. Considering it was Ottawa and the Sabres won, it's okay.

And he looks incredibly small in net. Even with the few inches of difference between him and Miller, he just looked like he plays smaller.

Not sure if he needs to come out to the shooter more or what. I guess short goalies and the butterfly style aren't exactly a match made in heaven.

G- Ennis, Myers, Weber, Gerbe, Connolly. Moment of silence, and post game team tribute ... Classy.

B- Mancari having several chances to either take a shot or get in a position so he could take a shot, and flubbed it every time, yuk!

U- Sabre killer Spezza continuing to do damage. 2 Enroth's goals... eeek.

Enroth will have those games, not too worried about it. I like the small changes so far. I was at the game...
Like the 2 minute warning chimes
Like the countdown clock in the concourse monitors.
Ted Black handing me and my wife the programs at the atrium after our tickets were scanned. I said, "thanks Mr. Black", he said "yea I got demoted today" and chuckled. Classy guy!
Like the Sabre Dance being played several times tonight.
Like hearing the Jeanneret call over the PA system after a Buffalo goal.

Good Game, all circumstances considered. Sabres need about 8 more wins, then they get a shot at winning 16.

Is the debate over Mancari over? I won't have to hear he's tearing up the AHL again, give him a chance? He's lazy, slow and worst off gutless. Guy won't make any power move to the net. That midget Paul Byron at least plays all out with a desperation to make the NHL.
I'm in the anybpdy but Mancari camp. Well, maybe not Parrish.

The Sabres scored 3 goals tonight (higher than the NHL avreage) that Ennis, Connolly, and Boyes had zero hand in. Today was a total team effort, and absolutely NOT riding 3 players. Hell Enroth let in the weakest two goals of the game, IMO, and Buffalo still won handily.

Yeah, I agree. Gerbe blasted in a big goal too. Ottawa's keepers were horrid but Enroth's game was ugly, very ugly. One horrid goal and one really bad goal. He almost let the Sens back in game. Team bailed him out.
I don't expect Enroth to start again unless Sabres clinch a spot. Not because of this game, I just Ruff think will now ride Miller to the end because sked will allow it.

Good-
Mini's - Ennis and Gerbe with great shots.
Connolly had that nice pass to Ennis
Weber's 3 assists
Sekera and Myers feet.
Vanek continues to produce

Bad-
Ref's had a few missed calls
2 of Enroths two goals allowed
Morrisson getting toe draged by Neil...yuck.
Guy crying during Rick Martin ceremony and making me emotional ):

Ugly-
Neil

GOOD:

-Connolly's confidence is slowing coming back. His passes to the open man this game were good, and when you see him start trying to dangle you know he has confidence.

-Ennis climbing up the rookie scoring charts and his pull back wrister in the 2nd was sick. He had a smile in his face when he seen that he destroyed Anderson's water bottle.

-Gerbe with a good shot. Noticed him all game. Pretty soon he is gonna score with a Backhand Toe Drag, he seems to pull them off every other game.

-The team saluting Martin's banner at the end of the game.

BAD:

Didn't like Morrisonn's game again.
Enroth's softies.

All in all good game to watch.

R.I.P Rick Martin

G: Winning a game that for some reason I thought they wouldn't have enough in the tank for.

B: RIP Martin

U: -There were some UGLY goals given by both goalies in this game.
- Broken Jochen. I seriously think there is a rule that a Sabres player must get hurt whenever we play the Sens. It's like Groundhog's Day!

Word to jflory, Butler was a beast tonight. Always in the right position and seems to be growing into a physical game. The open ice hit he had on Neil should've been the Carubba and neither one of his penalties was a good call.
