We are getting almost zero help from anyone.

We better start stringing some wins together or else it won't matter what anyone else does.

After Wednesday's games we are 3 points out now.

Thursday's games:
Minnesota @ Nashville. ...Really, just win this before we worry about others. Big chance to make up some ground, get going Preds!!

Montreal @ St. Louis
Calgary @ Phoenix
Vancouver @ San Jose

so, we're rooting for:

Avs over Ducks
Stars over Wild (altho if we're gonna' miss one let's have it be this one)
BJs over Kings
Oilers over Dead Things (we'll even take this one in OT if the hockey gods insist on a 3pointer somewhere)

Regulation please...

I go for Wild over Stars. Even though a Wild win leapfrogs us, we'll have the game in hand to jump back over them. We want to keep as many teams as possible close to us. You have to assume we need to keep winning to stay in it. If we do that, we'll pass the Wild in the process. Better for them to help keep the Stars in spitting distance.

I agree with the Wild winning tonight. They have a brutal schedule and more than likely will not do us many favors down the road for us to get in.

Vancouver is currently ahead of the Flames and the Rangers and Sharks are tied.

Vancouver beats the Flames in regulation. Rangers over the Sharks in a shootout.

The playoff chance site says we want Caps, Kings, and Ducks. Our chances improve regardless of who wins the Kings and Ducks games as long as it ends in regulation.

Was at the Caps game and you would have thought that someone decided to give the Hawks a chance to tie it up in the last two minutes for the TV game. We came so close to having the Caps win in regulation. At least they won the game. It was a very entertaining game though.

If Anaheim loses tonight (they are down 1-2 right now), then we are officially in control of our own destiny. We just have to match Calgary's and Anaheim's pace.

I'm pretty much counting Minnesota out at this point. Only 3 points back, but they look horrible right now.

Ouch. Vernon Fiddler literally got the puck stuck in his visor. He is one tough cookie. Yotes win it

Well, Nucks over the Wild is an EZ call for us; do we have to have someone win the Chi/SJ game? Guess we're rooting for SJ........
