I honestly wouldn't be surprised. Ranger castoff, important game, at home = disaster.

The Isles have been playing really well. Could be a huge swing tonight if we win and the 'Canes lose.

Former NYR 1st rd draft pick+former player+backup goalie+team we should beat+home game= potential recipe for disaster.

Good news is its the Isles, so Gabby is good for his usual 3+ goal outbreak!

Islander fan coming in peace. I think this is the game that sparks this rivalry again. Like some of you are saying, the islanders future looks bright for our forwards. The rangers youthful defense looks promising as well. This should be a great match up for years to come.

Hope its a good one fellas!

Two points. Get them however you can. Thats all i want for my birthday today.

Forget about the Buffalo-Carolina game. Points will be had, so take care of yourself. Tonights a huge step to take to get to the playoffs. Win tonight and get 2 out of the next 4, and even if Carolina wins out to Friday well still be two points ahead of them as they go into the back to back set with the Lightning.

I think id like buffalo to win in regulation, and us win as well...this way it puts much more space between us and ninth.

and...Happy Birthday!!!

Thanks guys...

Yeah, Buffalo winning in reg would be nice but the Rangers have to worry about themselves.

Win 3 out of the next 5 or get 6 points anyway you can by next Friday. Concentrate on that, bury them - tonight. Wear white again if you have to.

There was a game like this a few years back, but it was earlier in the year. The Rangers were coming off some nice wins, came home to face the lowly Isles (not lowly this time really) and they sported a putrid effort on home ice.

I think that was the night Drury said it isnt going to ruin his weekend or something. Anyway that game propelled them into a losing spiral they couldnt climb out of for a while.

Im hoping that tonight is the exact opposite. Sometimes when you execute the games you should win, they are more important then some big games you steal like in San Jose. Especially when those wins are at home and you have 3 out of the next 4 at MSG. Its really imperative they take these home games coming up against opponents they should beat.

There are only 3 more home games left after next Thursday. Cant stress the importance of tonight enough. Lets get on the horse tonight boys. All the bad bounces, all the injuries, all the ups and downs. Forget about that all. There was a team earlier in the year that scored 3 goals a game and was becoming a model for the rest of the league with the shotblocking, forechecking and effort displayed consistently every shift. Time to summon that up again. Time to put it together. Time for Gaborik to become a game breaker again.

Lets go Rangers god**** it.

Anything less than 2 points is a fail.

4-1 Win

Regular Season Career vs NYR: 17GP-10G-7A-17P

If you can guess who that is, WITHOUT LOOKING IT UP, you get a cookie.
