I just started watching this show. Currently 4 episodes into season 1 and really enjoying it.
Thought the pilot was fantastic, just a bit disappointed they haven't used Walton Goggins as much since then. Does he become a more focal point of the show later on?

Oh yeah, he becomes much more involved. The original plan was to have him die in the pilot (as does his character in the short story Fire in the Hole, but he gave them too great performance to let him just die off.

Yeah it would have been ridiculous to follow the original story plot to the letter anyway. If the show is going to last any length of time you need good characters and additional story lines.

It's had 1 season (13 episodes), and we're on the 2nd season (7 episodes so far).

So far, I like the 2nd season even more than the first.

Was a different kind of episode, really intense...gotta believe that Art knows what Raylan and Winona were up to.

Winona kind of pisses me off, not sure why.

Like the redheaded girl, she's good on Hung so should be no different here on Justified in terms of playing a *****y girl craving power.

Can't wait to see what kind of shenanigans she gets Boyd into with the Bennets.

It was hilarious when Boyd goes to a hung over Raylin sitting on the passenger side, and tells him "looks we're on the same side for once", and Raylin is like "I'm appointed by the marshal office and you're a hired gun thug for a crooked company, the only side we're both on is the side of this car".

The show won a Peabody award for excellence in electronic media.

Looking forward to next week's episode. Oh and I really think that Raylan took that whooping from Coover because he saw the little girl and wanted her to see their real side.

Interesting theory. Also, keep in mind the show appears to show that he's not a superhero all the time. He took a beating from the red neck at the bar last season. Then again, he was hungover in last night's episode and was drunk in the one last season.

Yes, him getting whooped when drinking is involved does seem to be a theme.

The reason I threw that out there was Raylan just decked Coover, had him on his knees after he had crashed threw the door and looked over and saw her. Then all of a sudden he stopped fighting and took the beating. I think it sets up the call from her in the next episode.

There were so many good lines from last night. i though when Raylan got that knife, he was going to cut the bullet out of his dad's leg. The whole Arlo thing with the bracelet is funny. Also I liked it when Boyd told Ava they are going to the party and how Coover was stupid enough to think that Ava wouldnt use her gun.

Best part was when Mags was begging Raylan to see Loretta. It was interesting that even after her son was dead, she cared more about Loretta. And the expression on her face after Raylan denied her was chilling. Margo Martindale the actress who plays Mags is really awesome. I hope she gets some type of award recognition.

Speaking of Mags, I must say, she's one of the best villain I've ever seen in a TV series. She isn't purely evil for the sake of being evil. She has depth. Too often villains are villains just because the hero needs opposition but that character is just bad ass and played to perfection by Margo Martindale. Her character just makes sense.

And it's not just Mags, I love all the characters in the show, they all seem to have a lot of depth and you never feel like you can categorize them as 100% good and as people you wanna cheer for or 100% evil and you wanna hate.

Love this show.

I'm a huge Olyphant fan, but Goggins routinely steals the show. I love the role Boyd's now taking on, should be fantastic to see this develop. Very excited.

You know, I love Boyd, but I think he's getting a pretty big oversell.

Olyphant has shown a lot more range then he ever did on Deadwood, dude deserves an Emmy nod more than Goggins.

I'm watching Deadwood for the first time right now as well, about the same amount of episodes in as Justified has right now. I agree with this completely. Though I think part of it is a character distinction, Raylan is a far more interesting character and much less predictable than Bullock. But I think it's mostly better acting.

I was in no way trying to downplay Olyphant's performance, I think he's been fantastic. The nature of Goggins character, I think is what draws me in the most. He's a pretty complicated/ conflicted man, and I think Goggins does a really good job of portraying it.

Boyd + power + Ava = one deadly combination

Ava gets hotter and hotter every ep.

Can't wait to see further Raylan Boyd drama in Harlan county

This is insane, what an episode...There's so much going on.

Aside from the obvious (Dickie killing Helen) what about Johnny obviously harboring those feelings against Ava? How's Boyd gonna deal with that? Deal with her?

Arlo and Boyd's response to Dickie coming into Harlan county is going to really **** this **** up. And I can't wait to watch it unfold.
