Internet DVR/on demand of Rangers games?

I apologize if it has been asked before. I've searched the forum but couldn't find the answer.

Anyway, I'll be away on business for a month and won't have a chance to watch or DVR the games on TV. Is there any way to record or order recorded games on the Internet? (Rangers website really should start such a service.)

If no such service exist, what is the best Internet feed nowadays if I do get a chance to catch some games?

Thanks in advance.

I'm pretty sure you can't watch until 48 hours after the game.

Why can't you DVR the games while you're away?

Free streams are posted in each game day thread if you want to try and watch live

I'm away for a month. Unless I can watch the DVR'd games on my laptop, I'm out of luck.

Thanks for the suggestions guys, I'll check them out.

If you travel on a regular basis, you MUST get a slingbox. I have one, and I never miss a game. It costs nothing more than the hardware, no monthly fees. Can also watch in HighDef if you buy the most expensive box, and access your DVR.

Yeah, I hear you. But I don't travel that much, maybe a month out of the year. So a $16/month subscription fee is a better deal for me.

Did they explain how or why it was legal?

My first impression would be that the NHL would never knowingly allow or sanction the rebroadcast of it's games by a 3rd party, especially for profit... However common sense would tell you that by allowing it, you are increasing the exposure of the game and ultimately generating more merchandise revenues and growing the fan base, which is key.... Perhaps someone in the hierarchy is employing common sense... I also got that reaction when I first learned that hfboards was permitted to post free online streams of the games. However, it's a bit surprising the league would knowingly allow competitors in the online streaming market considering they also charge for the service and profit directly from that. Shutting down the 3rd party paid and free sites would increase their profits, but ultimately allowing is probably better for the overall health and profitability of the game.

I have no idea how it is legal. I just wrote them an email before I subscribed and they said it was legal.

Get a slingbox. You can control your DVR and watch anything you want where ever and when ever you want. I have had one for years and have watched games as far away as Australia connected to my DVR at home via my slingbox.

how is the video quality with slingbox? the few times i've seen it the picture was kind of blurry and i didn't get the feeling it would be great for fast moving sports like hockey.

Depends on your internet connection. On bigger screens with slow speeds it can be a little choppy and blurry. On my iPhone it is actually pretty good even over 3G.

Hey does this site allow you to watch the game later or does it have to be live? I'm looking for something to watch online later in the evening (after work). Also, if it does let you watch later on does it show the score (I'd rather not like to know the game's result before watching, hah)
thanks!
