That looked like a weak call.

This has been a pretty good defensive period, but I wish they would ****ing stay on the offensive gas in the 3rd when they are #winning.

This is a spot where if you lose the draw just get out and tackle someone, the worse that will happen is another faceoff that you can fall on top of.

No, my point is that teams tend to play a little less physical against us when Prongers on the ice. Without him, Shelley will be needed as a big body to discourage teams from playing us too physically.

Thank you, the Flyers won.
But it shouldn't have been so hard.

Jeff Carter, with his 3rd consecutive 30+ goal season, is your Bud Light Player of the Game.

Like I said...Pronger doesn't play the enforcer role. On top of that, I've yet to see any evidence that teams give a crap about Shelley being out there. They mostly all have their own thugs as well.

God damn Giroux was good tonight, he's our best forward almost every night. Carter had some clutch moments but G was there every shift.

Fantastic to see us close out for once.

Does anyone else notice our wingers playing way off of their d-man every game, when teams gain the zone they have way too much zone time and keep zone control wayyyy to easy but using their dmen

I dont recall saying anything about Pronger being an enforcer. Teams just play less physical when he is on the ice. Shelley will be in most of the remaining games. Its just common sense. Whether other teams care about him or not is pointless, we need the big body. Ex. Bruins on Sunday

Briere on switching lines and roles "It's not that tough of an adjustment." Also "It wasn't our best game but hopefully things will get better and better."

I'm just saying that neither Pronger's nor Shelley's presence on the ice affects other teams' physicality.

Just got done watching the caps-habs game since the flyers feed was choppy as hell. It just seems we are one of the slowest teams out there in terms of speed and competitiveness for the last few months or so. It just seems almost every team i watch is on the next gear while we seem to be stuck in reverse and la la land. Seems like we got lucky again tonight and we did. Florida was all over us and the announcers in the 3rd period with a few minutes left were saying i guess Philly is happy to sit back on this lead as they aren't showing any signs of offense. Its getting bad when you have a league rep now that if you just skate a bit harder, you'll crush our morale and we will fold.

I can watch any nhl game and watch any flyers game lately and the flyers just look like they are doing a warmup skate compared to almost every other team. I actually saw versteeg which some jump on the forecheck and i was like wow, it would be nice if they all skated like that for 60 mins.

Im just noticing our defense as a whole sucks as in we let teams get plenty of offensive time on attack and pray they don't score. We have trouble with the rush compared to the teams we have been playing regardless how lousy their records.
