Why would we trade our picks and Colborne? The guys is a top 6 forward prospect, and we are likely going to have 3 picks in the #20-#40 range... that's a pretty decent chance to stock our farm.

Three of: Nicklas Jensen, Boone Jenner, Mark Schiefele, Zack Phillips, Joe Morrow, Daniel Catenacci, Alex Khokhlachev Matt Puempel, etc. I'd rather keep that plus Colborne.

Burke seems to realize he is going to require more time to finish this rebuild anyways.

Toronto get's scoring help and the guy they wanted to sign in the summer of 2009 and Montreal get's a big centre for the future and a total of three first round draft picks in 2011 to help them move up and land either Couturier or Huberdeau.
no dice.

But I do appreciate your sneakiness. Trying to get an awesome prospect and two firsts for a guy who is overpaid by about 2 mill and having a rough season.

To take on Cammalleri's contract I'd give up the two first round picks and asked for but you would have to take Lebda as part of a salary trade off.

Basically Montreal would get two first round picks and they'd save roughly 5M next season to spend elsewhere.

If Montreal's first-rounder is higher than the highest of both Boston and Philadelphia:

To Toronto:

MTL's 1st-rounder

To Montreal:

PHI's 1st-rounder or BOS' first-rounder, whichever is highest
TOR's 2nd-rounder or PHI's 3rd rounder (depends on how many spots they would be moving up)
