Well we all see we came up pretty close to that scenario lol: 16th, 40th, 41st, 45th, 76th. Jeez!

Oh the craziness in quoting your own post.

Does anyone think Marek Zagrapan will fall to 16th. I think he would be a good fit.

Well they did a pretty pretty crappy job this year.

Hey guys, I'm doing a mock draft for the rangers and I figure I'll be able to pick one of these dudes 16th... in order of preference....

Marek Zagrapan
Alex Bourret
Ryan Parent
Martin Hanzal
Kenndal McArdle
Brian Lee
Devin Setoguchi

I know people aren't high on Zagrapan, Parent and Hanzal here but I think they'd all do well in their respective places. If any of you has any pressing info on them (major reasons why I sould or should not take one of them) please express yourself.

If Carey Price fell to 16, would you want to see the rangers draft him?

I personaly say yes, at worse, we can trade either him, lundquist or montoya later on if we can't do it imediately.

no we have enough depth at goalie, to WASTE ANOTHER 1st round pick on one would be stupid.

Weekes- Solid starter
Lundqvist - half a season in AHL and he'll be rdy to back up weekes
Montoya - 2+ Years away from being a regular
Lababara - Might make it as a back up
Blackburn - Injred but with his talent there is a mtiny chance he could be effective other wise AHl back up.

Holt - decent bit of a long shot

to put it bluntly im tired of goalies in the 1st

Three of five picks on defensemen including the top two picks. I wonder if Ranger management is revealing something about the team's current corps of defensive prospects.

Maybe.

It seems to me like this is the way they should have been drafting since 97. And it may not be the right way now.

well, it looks like we are picking players that have some decent size to them, and good work ethic.

So far, i cant be too upset, though i would have liked to keep our pick we traded with MTL and taken a shot with Latendresse. high risk pick, but not so much for #45 and high reward.

Couldnt agree more. Staal was a GREAT pick up. If we had added latendresse it would have been an awesome draft in my opinion.
