Kings have a good chance to go 4-2 in the next six games. That should make the final three games about position only.

Hope the Kings come out flying against the Blues. Hope the Kings fans give the team a standing ovation for thisnroad trip. Get them pumped.

Not for him it isn't! He's been averaging a point per game for 152 straight games now. If anything you're selling him short!!!

(And the tone of that is totally pumped about Kopitar not disagreeing with you)

With Penner and Williams, ten points in twelve games will be easy for Kopitar. Penner and Kopitar with six game point streaks.

I know.

I honestly think that he has it in him to avg 2ppg the rest of the way with the way he has been playing. I was wondering earlier how it must feel to be Penz right about now. You go from the last place team in the league, one that isn't looking like it is going be getting any better for the rest of his time with them to a team that is playing very well and fighting for a playoff spot.

Then you get there and you not only get to play on the top line getting top line minutes but you also get the satisfaction of knowing that you are largely responsible for your line catching fire.

Has to be a relief.

The Kings are 16-4-4 since I moved to Vegas. I'm going home for about 12 days for spring break. A little bit nervous.

And Kopitar will get the focus off of Penner. He doesn't have to be the man on the Kings like in Edmonton. Losing that pressure has to be nice for Penner.

I've been really impressed with Penner playmaking ability and vision. I love that Kopitar drives to the net now since he knows Penner will get the puck.

Los Angeles Kings Playoff Chances
Beat Predators 4-2, playoff odds up 4.2 to 97.4%
85 points * 40-25-5

5-6-1 for 96 points.

15 games above 0.500.

Right, that is the point they are both equally breathing new life into each others game and it is great to see it happen.

I think 90 points would be a huge accomplishment for Kopitar. He'd need to average 1.5 points per game the rest of the way to do it.

He'd be the first Kings since Gretzky in 93-94 to break the 90 point mark.

I wish. Mainly because I wanna watch the NCAA Tournament, but my grandma isn't getting any younger. Gotta spend as much time with her as possible.

In theory, yes. But Kopi is so hot and cold. He can go on streaks now where he scores in bunches or go on a drought. Hopefully he continues to tear it up, hits 35 goals and gets at LEAST 82 points. but who knows

Kings just can't take the Blues lightly, gotta start out the home stand on the right foot.

The last time we took them lightly at home they put us out of our misery 3-1 for our 7th loss in 8 games.

I hated those days so much.. Lets hope they never return again.

Anyone know what happened with Mitchell at the end there? I don't think I've seen him lose his temper like that.

When I saw it live it looked like dude got a glove up high in his face with some authority and Mitchell lost his temper. Can't confirm nor deny if this is what really happened because they never showed a replay on the Nashville cast.

Whatever he did caused one of the Nashville players to start stripping.
