Had to go with Stepan's hat trick - that one has the makings of lore. If he goes on to have the career we all hope he'll have, we'll be telling our grandkids about it. (Knock wood.)
I don't know if it was one of our best performances but another memorable game was the comeback against Pit on Nov 15th. We went down 2-1 with like 2mins to play then Pit gets a powerplay and Staal scores SH. We go into OT and Cally scores the game winner on a 2on1 with Dubi.
Step because he's a 20 year old kid out of college and like BRF says, that's just the start of a career you want to remember.
Cally second because he's talentless third liner who will never be more than that and this was an anomaly. Seriously though, that game (and really his season ever since he came back from injury) goes to show just how much of a force he is/can be for this team, while being unsung for his actual talents and praised for his heart and soul. He's the full package ladies and gentlemen.
Hank third because Hank's been so good that there's many games you can look back on and thank him for keeping us in it when we shouldn't have been. (I.E. Vancouver)

This was the moment I started to realize there was something special building here.

But of those games, Cally!
Well this is best performance by a single Ranger, but that Pittsburgh game you mentioned was Game of the Year imo no question. I was gonna do a GOTY, but I'm saving it for after the regular season because I may need to nominate a playoff clincher, and I hope I do.

Vancouver game and that game are the only two games I can really think that would contend for GOTY.

That game against Stars in January is right up there IMO. On the road, very good team (Dallas was top-3 in West), no Callahan, fell behind twice before winning in SOs. Thank you Zucca.
Lundqvist vs. Vancouver should be up there as well.
This.
