any ideas?

Thanks
You may want to check on the Bruins board and look at the thread on the protest. Given your description, there's a picture behind John Lu.

Fair warning though..... if it is indeed you, unless you're a big Milan Lucic fan, you're not going to be happy at all.

For those of you that went, good for you. I'm glad you actually had the stones to stand up for what you believe in.

No problem neo, I was actually curious to see the numbers myself.
Not seeing a riot, depends on what news you were watching. 258 people were arrested in Montreal yesterday at the other demonstration at the same time.

Wait for a Boston playoff matchup to see the Hockey one.

This is why league can't and shouldn't have suspended Chara. It happens all the time.
Exactly.
It happens every game because it is part of the game.
There was nothing wrong with the Chara hit, it was more the location of the stantion than anything.

This hit is not the same thing at all... The only thing it has in common is that it happened near the stanchion.

1) Talbot HAS the puck when he gets hit, so he should be expecting something.
2) He's about 2 foot from the Board when he gets hit and is pushed towards the board, not the stantion.
3) He goes sideways towards the board and ends up hitting close to the stantion and just slides towards it so he has little speed when he gets there.

It's totally different than driving a guy's head in it while skating TOWARDS it at high speed without even having the puck.

Report button. This board isn't for discussing what goes on in other boards.

For whatever it's worth, Bobby Clarke was on OTR this evening and he thought Chara knew exactly where he was on the ice and what he was doing and had it been up to him he'd have been suspended.

Coming from Bobby freakin Clarke of all people.

I am one of the Habs' fan that went to the protest yesterday. I want to thank you for your understanding of our action. I am very disappointed as quite a few Habs' fans treat the protest as stupid and paint those who participate in this event as lunatics. Signing a petition against headshots, peacefully participate in a protest are all basic elements of a democracy. Our society allows all opinions to be heard as long as your opinions are voiced in a respectful and peaceful manner. We went to the protest to let the NHL know what is our concern. It's look like most of the people here on HF think we went to the Bell Centre with the purpose of creating chaos and anarchy. People really think we protest about increase in hockey's violence by performing violence's acts such as smashing store fronts and burning cars?

In between periods of Toronto - Carolina he also said he agrees with Lemieux's fines suggestion but thinks they should count against the cap. He also said they should in addition fine the coaches.
