I would definitely expect Roussin to be in Manchester this year.

Is there a message here? First they pick FAST and then they pick QUICK
After the Fast and Quick picks, I'm shocked you guys didn't pick Mike Swift.

I think this is the first time in a long time that we didn't select any over age players.

What do you consider "over age"?

The overagers that we usually select in every draft. The Bednar's, the Pirnes', the Lillja's and the like. The mid 20's european who can come over and contribute right away.

Well, unless you consider 21 (and almost 22) to be mid 20s, then you'd only have to go back to the 2004 draft.

This looks like a solid draft for the KINGS highlighted by the Kopitar steal. I am VERY VERY VERY HAPPY!!!!

We also stole Dany Roussin from the Panthers. I am not sure if you guys read it but the Panthers missed signing him by 3 minutes. Because there was supposedly technical difficulty with the fax machine. That is why he re-entered the draft. I hope we don't pull that kind of last minute crap.

Just read this Q&A with Bobby Ryan over at McKeens.
Quote:
McKeen's: Florida and Anaheim, of course, are a couple of those Southern markets that could struggle.

Bobby Ryan: Yeah, I don't see them doing too well when the NHL comes back either.

I'm guessing this was more directed at them struggling financially and with attendence, not with the on-ice product. Ryan, though, will help turn that around.
