Seats at United Center...which would you choose?

My friend is coming into town and he's a huge hockey fan. Sadly, he grew up playing in Michigan and is a Red Wings follower. But as misguided as he is, I'm hoping to buy him some tickets for his birthday to the Blackhawks game against Detroit. Right now, I'm looking at:

Section 334 row 2 - upper level center ice

OR

Section 221 row 4 - club level but more towards the corner

Which seats would you choose?

I always try to get closer to the side they shoot at twice.. but it seems they always score on the opposite side.. haha

both are excellent seats.. row 2 upper level are perfect seats.. i'd get those, but that's just me.

There really isn't a bad seat in the house for a hockey game. I'd buy the 300 Level ones and use your saved money to get loaded.

300 level (where the real fans are) and center ice. Always the best seat in my opinion. Lower levels have a lot of seats where you can set the other half of the ice due to the glass misconstruing things. I think higher up seats on the lower level would maybe be ok. Have yet to sit in the 200's.

334, 301, 317, and 318 are the best sections at the UC. I've sat on the glass, in the lower corners, the 200 level, but the seats in the 300 level at center ice are my favorite. The fans are better, too.

Sat in section 301 for the Sharks game on Monday, best view in that Arena IMO.

I don't like the first couple rows in the 300 section. You sometimes have the obstructed opaque glass in your way. Club is nice because you have quick access to vendors and bathrooms, less people. You will probably take a bit less crap in club if he's wearing DRW gear. I hope this game is meaningless for us.

I've sat in the 100 level quite a bit so....... It's not always the best view anyways. You can be obstructed the closer your are. It's worth it at least once to see the up close action.
