If we are fortunate to land Richards, he adds to the mixture another piece of the puzzle that only gets us closer to a complete team. Add maybe a power forward LW to that mix on the 1st line and we can be set.
Yea they do make Eminger and Gilroy expendable. I know people like Gilroy but he should be let go in the offseason. Eminger i think has been a solid #4-5 dman this season and maybe could be kept as a 7th dman. I believed that Valentenko and Kundratek will be ready to take the 5th and 6th spot on defense, while hopefully MDZ can find his game again, and Pashnin comes over like he has said he would. Then have to look out for McIlrath in a couple of seasons.

Idk who we would be looking at but if we can acquire this offseason, trading for a talented goal scorer would be key but should wait till next season to find out who we want to keep and who is expendable.

Scary good if they can play up to their capabilities/what we all expect the to be.
dont forget Pashnin who is playing very well in Russia and Kundratek who just played well in his first season in the AHL

Lets be realistic - these guys will more likely than not never suit up for the Rangers. Theres just no room on the backline.

Saying that this team isn't a contender with Richards in tow is just plain silly. The only thing this team is missing to win more consistently is a legitimate #1 line that can produce EVERY game. Richards will allow this team to have that. Throw in the fact that BR is a PP QB and it only compounds how important he would be. The D is more than fine.

Don't think either will be top 4 guys and I don't think MDZ will be playing top 4 minutes. Both of those guys could potentially be nice blue chop prospects, and will most likely he dealt.

I am being realistic, Pashnin is playing very well for the top league in Russia and is supposedly comming over next season to play in the A, while Kundratek is playing very well in the A right now. Valentenko has shown in preseason that he belongs up here. I think your selling our talented depth on defense short. They wont suite up for us because there is no room on the backline.

Which is why we are talking about finding out what we have in each player and then making a trade with 1 or 2 Defensman we find to be expendable and a solid forward player for a young talented forward.

Which is exactly what ive been advocating for us to do. Find out who our cream of the crop is and keep them while trading 2 defensive prospects and a decent forward for a very talented skilled forward. While signing Richards.. OH BABY ha

That should be the plan but none of those guys (valentenko, pashmin, kundratek) have very good value right now. V-tank has some but not enough to be bundled and traded right now.

Our defense looks solid for the future... fourth best imo... behind nashville, los angeles, and phoenix
