It’s not like tonight we’re not ready to go home, but I think the approach was totally different than Long Island. Obviously to go 4-0 right now, it doesn’t happen very often. We approach it just like playoffs. It’s the playoffs for us. The playoffs are at stake, and you’ve got to play right to your potential every night. I think that’s what we showed, throughout these four games."

The guys are playing great in front of us, and it’s all a team effort. I felt good the whole game. The Pred’s had some good bounces, especially in the second when the guy came from my right to left, right in the slot. But I knew if I could keep them to one (goal) that we would get another one, and we found a way to score again on the empty net. I don’t know if part of it is because I’m in Nashville. [laughs]."

I think, since last year, we haven’t made very many mistakes after going into the third period with the lead. Tonight, we gave up a goal, which we would like back, but we came out unscathed and we got the two points, and that’s huge. That’s the way playoff hockey is going to be, and we’ve been in playoff mode for a little while now."

Everybody came into this road trip with a playoff mentality and did the right things in most of the games, certainly enough to get the job done. This was a four-gamer, but the importance of all these games, for everybody we played, was very significant, in the standings and in playoff races. To play hard every shift, and just get the job done, it says a lot about the way the team has come together, the character of the group. I’m really proud of the way they played. Most importantly, now, is that we follow it up. We’ve got some games at home, and nothing changes now. Now we’ve got to make sure we’re bringing this attitude back, and do the same thing at Staples Center. You still have very meaningful games, the rest of the way."

LET'S GO KINGS !!!

NOTE : Regarding LARGE SIZE IMAGES / YELLOW RE-SIZE IMAGE BARS ABOVE PICS, let me offer up one nice little suggestion ...
This will get rid of those pesky yellow resize bars over the top of some larger pictures ... as they annoy the hell out of me and maybe they do you also ?
- Go into/click on your "USER CP" {control Panel} up top left in the red bars
- on the left under 'Settings & Options' click on "Edit Options"
- scroll down to 'Thread Display Options', and then 'Please Select the Resize Mode'
- click on the 'Drop Down List Box' over on the Right of 'Please Select the Resize Mode'
- select it to "KEEP ORIGINAL SIZE"
- SAVE your selections !
There ... now don't that look MUCH BETTER

Blues have been playing like poo.
Kings have been playing well.
Blues played last night.

All signs point to Kings victory, which is exactly why they will lose.

3-1 St. Louis

I really want to beat these guys. We should have beaten them three times, but lost all three in regulation.

Please play like you want it. We're so close to the playoffs and we need to dunk this team.

Huge game.

Gotta start off the home stand on the right foot. Can't take the Blues lightly. They also played last night which should be an advantage but with the Kings who knows.

Go Kings!

Does anyone know what kind of trend St. Louis is following with their team?

Are they in "rebuild mode" ? ... Are they supposed to be contending for a playoff spot this season?

How is their farm? deep? mediocre? non existant?

Are the teams strengths at defense, wingers, centers? I know they have Halak in net so that answers their goaltending questions.. thats just about the only thing I know about this them

Sorry to ask so many questions.. but this is one of the few teams that I just literally know nothing about.. except for the fact that theyve had no problems beating us as of late lol

If this team's (LA) habits have changed meaning we would win a typical "trap game" then my hopes for the future has risen once again. This kind of game is usually 100% lose.

Coming into the season they were definitely expected to contend for a playoff spot based on a strong finish to last year. I think the disappointment has been that Halak wasn't as other-worldly as expected and has had injuries, plus the young core they built up during the rebuild didn't step up as much as expected. Losing David Perron early in the season hurt too, and Brad Boyes never regained his form so they shipped him out. Definitely a disappointing season for Blues fans.

They are in the late stages of a rebuild, and rebuilt a little more by dealing potential franchise defenseman Eric Johnson for Chris Stewart and Shattenkirk in what looks like a great trade, which was made possible by the emergence of Alex Pietrangelo who looks like their new franchise defenseman. With Stewart for a full season and Perron (hopefully for his sake) back next year they could be dangerous.

Today's wheel of fortune landed on Jonathan Quick in net, Richardson out, Westgarth in.

Quick will get the start in the majority of the final 12 games.
