Definitely a big game tonight. We can get 3 points ahead of the Caps and 5 ahead of the Pens. Bring it tonight boys.

Going to probably get to see this one in full, excited to see what Gus can bring to the table.

Hexy isn't the best ever. But he was definitely the most entertaining. He was an enforcer playing goalie, he played better mean. A true conduit for fans on the ice. At the start of his career, he was the best goalie in the game at that time. And until I saw bob play, the most athletic Flyer goalie. Great guy to meet in person as well, I love hexy.

I hope guy plays well, the combo of Boynton & OD should never see the ice together again.

You guys know I'm half kidding right? Just half kidding.
I figured there was a tongue-shaped protrusion in your cheek, but couldn't resist weighing in on Hextall. He was certainly colourful enough a character, and a huge part of this franchise's lore. I didn't like all of his on-ice antics, but did appreciate his huge desire to win and loved the Chelios incident, which I watched live on TV (if that's not too much of a contradiction in terms).

If Carter shows up in the playoffs and they win a Cup I will slobber all over Carter, in the meantime I am skeptical. But he has been playing well, just wish he would step up the physical game, the next hit he dishes out might be the first of the year and if he would just spend a little more time trying on the boards to dig some pucks it would go a long way to offensive zone possession....but I digress.

I just finished posting in the Giroux highlight thread about his GTG vs Phoenix, where it was Carter's going to the slot and fighting it out with 2 Coyote defenders that made that play happen. I think Carter has made significant progress this year towards adding some power forward to his game. He is going to the net more and getting more dirty goals than the pure sniper stuff of years past.

Carter's lack of noteworthy physical play isn't even what I care about. Just score some big goals when it f*ing matters and that'll be good enough for me.

And the fact he's still putting it in the net. That's really what matters when it comes to Carter.

Gus gonna get a point tonight. I can feel it. Some beat writers are speculating he will start until Pronger is back. In the delco times article, someone said that a source thinks he can become the #7 guy for the playoffs, and in the near future will be a good NHL player.

Exactly. Just put the puck in the net all playoffs long and I don't care if he never lays a big hit.
