Anaheim beats St. Louis 2-1 and moves into 8th place.

As much as I hate the Ducks, part of me wants them to make the playoffs just for the sake of SoCal hockey.

Meh. The only reason I would want them to make the playoffs is because they are playing the Kings. That's where the coverage comes.

Malhotra got an eye injury last night and Bobby Mac said it's not a minor injury. That could really hurt the Canucks in the playoffs if he's out.

The Kings really need to try to win the division. Finishing 4th or 5th is almost certain to draw Chicago as a 1st round opponent - and who wants that? Yuck.

Let's go Wild!

Oh no, Malhotra is hurt. Does this mean it's okay if they lose in the second round again? They might not be a contender anymore without him. Oh Noes!11!!!

Colorado vs Calgary is about to start. Calgary is still a crazy place and I am turning down tickets to the game to stay in my hotel room and watch the Kings game on my computer. This weekend I have back to back games watching Vey vs Cal to end the season. Lost of travel left.

Haha. It's so easy to do.

Stars score. Ott with a breakaway. 1-0 end of first.

Chicago is determined to keep their season interesting.

Meanwhile Calgary is tonight's charitable 2 points recipient courtesy of the team who may never win another game this season. The Avs spotted them 2 goals before the seats got warm.

With CAL/NSH/MIN all slumping, Dallas showing some resilience, and Hiller due back, it's looking more and more like all the Pacific teams are going to make the playoffs.

Columbus lost! one less team to worry about it looks like.
Chicago losing 3-0 to Dallas, Calgary up 3-1 on Colorado after 1 and Phoenix just took the lead on Edmonton.
Nashville tied with Boston, lets go BRUINS!!!

He should wear an eyepatch and go back on the ice.

The Capitals play exactly like the Kings now. Low shots on net and defense first mentality.

Cause all that Offense didn't mean anything in the playoff's. They couldn't keep the puck out of there end.

It's just really weird watching the Capitals play defense.

3-0 Caps.

the caps have the best sniper in the game to boot making their d shell even more effective/ I live Bruce and am so happy for his successes. He was easily the most approachable person and would give you all the time you needed to answer his questions. With all the talk about our letting players walk, it was a mistake letting BB get away too.

3-0 Caps.
The threat of losing his job woke BB up apparently. Losing Mike Green also helps their team defense by default.

Boudreau came off as a bumbling idiot on 24/7 but I applaud him for changing his game plan. The run-and-gun offense is fun to watch but it's too unreliable in the playoffs. They seem to be finding a nice balance between their high end skill players and the system necessary to win.

It'll be interesting to see if they can keep Semin and Green long term. Semin is inconsistent and a pending UFA but I think they'd be better off moving Green. Carlson/Alzner should be their #1 pair for a long time and Carlson should be their workhorse going forward. I don't think you can afford to pay a #3 d-man a boatload (assuming he wants more than the 5.25 million/year he's getting now) that's a huge liability.

Funny the Caps only get 12 shots on goal and win 3-0, after we get so few shots the night before and LOSE 4-0.

The Kings won two games this year with only 18 shots.

Oh look, another Canuck player just dove! Strange how that keeps happening despite their fans claim that they don't dive anymore.

How would you rate the dive, from 1-10?
