Kings vs. Blues - 03/17/11 - POSTGAME THOUGHTS & TIDBITS

Fun fact of the day: Ryan Smyth gets paid $67,073.17 per game.

Did we play today? I don't remember...

Onto the next game.

I recommend enjoying your St. Patrick's day and go get wasted.

Thanks, those can be pretty tough. Probably our toughest non goon Theo Peckham got the same when he fought Nathan Horton and he's been out awhile. It happens, here's to hoping for a speedy recovery for the kid, the way he fights is fearless, sometimes when you do that you get caught. I've yet to see him in a boring fight, one hell of a tough kid that #13

The whole team sucked giant donkey balls tonight

Poopy.

It's already forgotten. Mainly because there was nothing worth remembering.

On to Saturday.

I was impressed with Greene waiving to the fans in an apologetic manner right after the game. They were getting boo'd and he stood up and acknowleged our disapointment.

Get well soon Clifford.

The entire team sucked tonight.

Kings will show up Saturday.

Bernier should start.

Lets drink!

Just one of those games you wish you could permanently erase. Hopefully the embarrassment is enough to propel them to a strong finish on the season.

Outplayed in every aspect of the game tonight, pure domination by the Blues. 6 shots after two periods is completely unacceptable.

Goalies: I'd delay that new goalie plan and play Bernier on Saturday.

That was worse than the Islanders debacle. I didn't think it could get any worse than that game, but they proved us wrong tonight.
Oh, and say good bye to the division title after that bed ****ing and the Sharks winning.

Cns,

Here is your post, didn't get to it before the thread closed,

Are you a goalie? I'm going to assume no. Well, I've been a goalie for 11 years now. That is an easy shot to stop. Yeah yeah yeah the puck was fluttering. It's called get your ****ing chest directly in front of the puck and it doesn't go in.

And if you are a goalie and think that's hard to stop, I'll give you lessons.

Yes, I was a goalie for 25+ years until I had 2 knee surgeries, and like I've said, I've seen too many pucks dip, curve, and bounce to label that as a soft goal, it was a fluke goal, simple as that, #2 and #4 were soft and even then it seemed like the puck had eyes.

POSITIVES!!!!

Quick played a good 20 minutes

Westgarth was decent in the 2nd and 3rd

Brown was decentish

Still only need to play .500 hockey to make playoffs

Would rather that game happened today than against the Ducks

ummmm....Bernier didnt get tired

uhhhhh..... JJ broke up a 5 on 1 which he will never do again in his career

I can't wait to see the postgame thoughts.

If they don't play five thousand times better against the Ducks, the boos will continue.

Also call up Moller from Manchester if Clifford is out and throw him on the second line. Throw Smyth to the bottom six where he belongs.

that breakaway attempt by Poni was so bad aswell

I like the shot mentality, but when in a clear cut noone even in the offensive zone breakaway, dont take the shot from in line with the top of the circles. I had a better snipe than that in my game on Wednesday, i struggle to get the puck in the general vacinity of the net
